send me an angel ..by scorpions ..he said he will look at the sky and shout out alone inthe total darkness ... and he thought i was that "angel"
actually replying to another discussion reminded me of this .. happened 16 years ago !!
let me share the lyrics to the song ....
The wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
Its the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The passage out of the dark
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
The wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
Its the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The way out of the dark
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
cheers

A beautiful memory to share. It is nice to read things to make you smile. I'd have to ask my wife what song she thought was our song. I rather feel it more important that I wrote her a poem which she enjoyed. It was entitled "walk with me" and emphasized my desire for a relationship which was equal and persisted to old age. She seemed excessively fond of it.

Walk with me Poem.
Come to me,
Meet me in springtime,
With the sweet song of sparrow
Be near me,
Wherever you walk,
Is wherever I'll go
Stand by me,
Both through the joy,
And through the sorrow
Walk with me,
Neither to lead,
Nor to follow
Care for me,
Love who I am,
And who I'll be tomorrow
Rest beside me,
At day's end,
When limbs start to slow
I'll sleep there with thee,
As the world passes nigh,
By shade of old tree,
We'll rest,
You and me,
Content there to lie,
'neath the darkening sky.
