Do we really know our Government?

I was going through some of my saved files this morning and I ran onto one I would like to share with you. It brings me to the question, "do we really know our Government"? I don't think we do and I also believe if we did you would have a bunch of mad Americans to deal with. This file is called "Operation Northwoods". It is a photo copy of several pages that was drawn up by our department of defense. They are dated 13, March, 1962. They were highly classified documents that even many people in our government were not to see. Not long ago the time expired on these documents and a few were able to get a copy through the freedom of information act. These documents outlined a plan that was drawn up for the purpose of as they put it, "Justification for Military intervention in Cuba". To put that in simple terms it was a plan to deceive and outright lie to the American people so our military could gain the support of the people for an invasion of Cuba. You need to read it to really understand what I am talking about.Anyone that would like a copy can email me direct and I'll try to get it to you. It's a PDF file and you will need the PDF reader to open it. If the general public had even known our own government was planning something like this they would have marched on Washington by the millions. They would have probably overthrown our government. I served in the military and had always stood up for our government, until I read this. It opened my eyes to some things I never was willing to admit before. I'm sure there have been a lot of other plans like this we don't know about. This one brings up some very serious questions we need to answer concerning 9/11, the Iraq war and several other things that have happened in the past few years. I'll probably be raked over the coals over this one but I challenge anyone to read a copy of these documents and then they will will understand why I say and feel like I do concerning our government. After reading them they will probably feel the same way.

We have to remember that our government is made up of people like us, right from our neighborhoods. And there are some very devious people out there, ready to push their agenda on all of us, if they have the chance. The only thing different is the fact they have the money and the know how to get elected. Then, once in Congress or where ever they are in government, they find like people to help push that agenda along. Thus you have such as what you have presented. A good thing, though, this one never made it off the ground! We just get a little of this leaked once in awhile like the Illuminati and One World conspiracy. I, for one, think our government is in a mess! And it's probably going to get worse!

Morning Barb, About all our Government can do from here is get worse. They may have done us all in with this stunt they pulled with the economy. I'm afraid we are all about to get a real good lesson in hard times. As always though the ones that have brought this on us will do fine and let us suffer. They still have their money to get them through and we don't. If this doesn't wake the American People up nothing will.

I believe it is going to get tough. I sure hope not as bad as during the depression. My Mother is still living at the age of 91 and she went through that. They were married in 1936. She said it was hard, but not impossible to get through. They did lots of bartering for things during that time. But, with all the people who had rather steal than work, there will be lots more breaking in to get what those of us who save and work have in our homes. That's what really bothers me.

I hate politics and I don't really keep up with them as much as I should, but the reason I don't is because politicians aggrevate me and make me feel like I can't trust them. But there is a quote from a movie that I think is appropriate here: "Politicians use the truth to tell lies while artists use lies to tell the truth." I think that this quote is really accurate in describing our government.

Thanks. That's a good quote. I'll have to try to remember it. It sure as heck fits too doesn't it.
