Hi friends! I would love to know the core topics in mathematics (e.g. indices) that one need to get used to when going for computer science as a major. Not only that, I would also love to know things that are relevant for one to know before going for computer science. What are the topics and what do you think can give one advantage in the fiend? Thanks in advance. Seasons greetings!

hello thefuture, I have completed my first year at university and I am doing degree in computer science..From what I have done, the core topics in maths for computer science are calculus, linear algebra, and of course discrete mathematics without which future courses would become difficult...Some of the things that might help u to excel in computer science wud be to be a good programmer..That really helps...u shud be able to think logically and solve problems analytically...an advantage of computer science is that the IT sector is always rising and there is always a need for more IT professionals, software engineers, web designers, etc...I hope you will take heed of my advice..Have a merry Christmas... Cheers...
