Hello myFriends, when we were a children our parents mostly trying their best to persuade us there is a big fat man in red costume riding on the reindeeres who bring us every year all the gifts because we were good. But sooner or later this imagination is uncovered and we all learned the sad reality there is no magic oldster and all gifts are bought by our parents. I do not remember when I realized this but I know my older brother happily reveal this truth to me. But I was not sad that much since I was still getting all that gifts:) So what about you, do you remember how and in what age did you find out there is no Santa?? I hope I just not ruined somebody's illusion about this

Hi dieorfly.. I was 7 or 8 years old i think when I discovered that Santa Claus doesnt exist, and he's just a mere representation of the act of giving. It happened when I got doubtful with the gifts I received during that particular Christmas since I saw that gift wrapper earlier that day. So what I did, I slept earlier the next night and woke up when my parents thought that everybody's sleeping. Gotcha, I saw my father putting gifts on our Christmas socks that we hung on our window. I was sad of course but I was young then and what mattered most at that time was receiving gifts everyday.

Hahahaha, this the first sentence of this topic is so random when you don't read the title. xD I think I found out that Santa didn't exist when I was about eleven or twelve actually (pretty late, I know). I liked (and still do =P) make-believing in things and look forward to it all year. I had a dream when I was younger that was so realistic that thought it was real in which I saw Santa drop gifts off at my house in a flash of multi-coloured lights. =P After that, I didn't doubt his existance for a second, and always thought it was pretty cool that someone like that existed: not for the gifts (although I liked those too...), but as a general idea. I was fascinated! So yeah... When my mum told me that she just pretended Santa existed, I was pretty heartbroken. =( xD

Santa, there is no Santa, are you sure? LOL I never really believed in Santa. My family did not have a lot of money so we didn't really get Christmas presents. Hard to believe a jolly fat man exists if he doesn't bring you anything. That is OK though, I over compensate with daughter now and she gets more presents than she will ever need, but on the same note, she goes through all over toys just before Christmas and gives away things she does not play with to other little boys and girls that can't afford Christmas. I think we found a happy medium.

I think this is the way how it should be. Children will learn to share to other children it is nice idea and actually I think this is the main Christmas idea. You are great father

I can't remember not believing anymore either. I grew up with my dad being Santa every Christmas so I know I used to think that my dad worked for Santa because he couldn't also make it to see every child as he was so busy lol.

Eversince i was a kid, my parents just gave a present and pretend that i came from santa only once... the next year, i no longer got gift from santa but instead gave me a present from them and then they already explained to me that santa is not true. i think i'm just 10 yrs old then. Hope it could help. Have a nice day!

My experience was to experience the hard cold tryth myself. I hung a sock just beside the window for the first time, with a hnadwritten note by me, listing down my wishes, and hoped that when i wake up the following morning, i will find the sock stocked up with presents. Ans as i woke up early the next morning, i ran towards that window, only to find that the sock was as bare empty as how i left it before. I was a pretty big disappointment for a kid like me, so young at age and at heart. LOL!!

I actually never believed in Santa Claus. I wasn't an idiot growing up and I knew that it was just a fat guy in a suit. I even remember telling kids in kindergarten that there was no Santa. Really messed up now that I think about it.

Okay, so i was like 11 and my dad was in jail, again. So my mom had to provide christmas to me, my 12 year-old sister, and my 7 year-old brother. I didn't believe in Santa anymore, because over half the kids my age were like, "nope, he's not real". But it was definitely confirmed at this age. My mom was like, "Just so you guys know, Santa isn't real... So, Christmas is going to be poor this year. But don't tell your brother - he's too young". And from then on, Christmas was pretty much a "we'll get whatever they can afford" kind of thing. But, I understood their reasoning. Although it was a tough transition.

I was around seven or eight years old. My cousin and I were having a fight so she decided to scream at me and tell me there was no such thing as Santa Clause. I cried for days. Her little girl is about that age now and I threaten her that I am going to tell her little one that there is no Santa. I really wouldn't though. lol.

I also don't remember when did I know that Santa isn't true.. Actually, I just know it on my own no one told me that theres no Santa.. Well, my parents don't persuade me that there is Santa who will give me a present since when every time I received my present during Christmas, I know who's the one who gave me.. I don't know if I really believe with Santa Clause but I know that some other kids believe that there is Santa and we usually talked about it but I've never mentioned it to my parents.. My uncles and aunties usually the one will told me that there is Santa but my parents, I don't remember them telling me that Santa will give me gift during Christmas..

I think i was 8 yrs old when i found out. I had gone to spend xmas at my aunt's and there under the xmas tree were gifts with gift tags on them stating where they were from, and there was none from santa. So i told my aunt that santa must have left my gift at home since i don't live here and santa didn't know i would be spending xmas there. And she told me the truth.

Hmm well considering my religious beliefs, we're not believers in the whole Santa thing, so I knew he didn't exist since the beginning of time :D
