Well somtimes I dream that If one day (which surley will never happen) I will win a big sum of money what will I do? Well i will sure take a long vacation and travel abroad, then I will buy another house for my child and then save a lump sum for the future. However I think I will not leave work completly, I think I will work part-time since I hate being all day at home. Well, at the moment I will jut dream.... and you what would you do?

Yes, because my work is writing which I would do if I had two cents or two hundred dollars. All that winning a lot of money would mean to me, is that I could be out of debt, I could buy a laptop, I could go to book shows, and travel more often. In my soul, I would still be a writer and an activist.

If I won a big lump sum of money, I would still work, either volunteer or aork part-time. I like to stay busy most of the time. I would pay off ALL of my debts, but a new car, build a house, and travel to places I have not been to and would love to go to. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it's good to have dreams.

You might never know. If you don't buy a lottery ticket you will never win. I wish you luck. If I win a great sum of money I will continue to work. I don't want to get lazy. HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. I hope the the true joy of Christmas fills your heart. Peace upon you and your family. © ronaldinu 2008

I honestly own't stop working, but will take some vacation days off and go to some country I have always wanted to visit. The thing abotu winning a lump sum of cash is that after you have paid taxes on it, some people splurge and spend big and within 2 years they are bankrupt. SO I woudl invest wisely for the future because that money won't really last long.

If one day I will win big sum of money, I will stop working and put up my own business instead. I plan to venture into food business because it seems a very profitable business. Then I will give something to charities.

I would have to say that if my ship came in I would say bye bye. I would take some of the money and buy a new house, car, and give a lot to my children. Depending on how much money that I won I would take what was left and invest it to make more money.

Well done newbie:)! You have attracted quite a lot of interest and responses for this post in a brief time. I would certainly keep working even if it is on voluntary basis. I need motivation in life. I hate being lazy and have nothing to do in life.

If I ran across a large sum of money, right now I'm not working, but I would try to think of ways to help others. My community is just dying off. We are supposed to get a shot in the arm with a new racetrack, but there is so much more we can do if we wish. Like there are places that a person cannot sit down at. If we need bus cards, we have to go downtown and risk missing a connection. If I could, I would change that. Have places they could sit under; there is a main stop that had some seats, and folks took it; if I could put like a covering and a place you can get your bus cards at, perhaps some coffee, what have you, that would be cool.

If God permits that i could win a large amount of money i wont stop working, for me it doesn't end there. I would still work hard and would probably help others especially those who are less fortunate by giving them jobs.

With those money, i'd firstly donate some of them away, then get some of the things i need (less want), and try to fulfil the wishes of my parents, and i'll take it to pay for my piano lessons (because I REALLY WANT TO LEARN THEM, but i don't have the money to support that interest). I guess, the rest, i'll figure how to use it wisely LOL!! But yeah, of course i'll still keep working, because it keeps my brain juices flowing.

I think I will stop my working.(I mean that working for money.)And then I will to do what I like to do such as doing something about computer technology. In this way I can do it well for my inclinations without worring about wage.

I think that if I were to receive a big sum of money I would continue to work and keep the money for emergencies and retirement, not spend any of it and disclipine myself to not ponder what I might do with it as if I do I will probably spend it.

It seems to me from what stories I have heard of people who won a lot of money, that you just start working for a different boss. The money becomes the boss. At least that's what I tell myself eveytime I don't win

If I were to ever win a large sum of money or even just handed a large sum of money I would pay off alot of bills first then actually I would quit, but with the left over money, I would start my own business and go to school for what I wanted to go to school for. I am like if I was working a job that I enjoy working then I would contine to work there, but if not I would just quit.

I had been thinking about it, just like I bought a lottery ticket yesterday and checked the jackpot it's a big amount, and then I started thinking how will I manage that kind of amount if I could win it. And you know what I have never been to sleep the whole night, because I was too busy planning how and where should I put the money so that it won't be wasted, and spend it wisely. It made me so tired now I am laughing why should I did that for!

I don't think I'd stop working if I won a lot of money. To start off with I'd clear my debts, take a holiday, buy a house a car etc and make sure my family were ok. Then I'd have to look seriously at what was left and then decide if I wanted to continue to work full or part time. If I won enough money to keep me comfortable for the rest of my life I would probably volunteer somewhere or start my own business. I don't think I could ever not work, my bf on the other hand says that if he won enough money he'd quit his job straight away, i think he's crazy!
