R.E.M - Accelerate

Only picked it up because it was cheap at Tescos and I'd heard (& liked) Supernatural Superserioues when it'd been on the radio, but this is a great album. They've been a bit dull the few years but this is imo a proper return to form. Angry, sarcastic, celebratory, catchy songs - wish it was longer.

I have been an R.E.M. fan for quite a while (won't say how long ;) ), and they have had some difficult years. But I agree that Accelerate is definitely one of the strongest albums they've released in quite a while, though I'd argue that even their past few had some gems that shouldn't be overlooked. But I recommend Accelerate to anyone who has been disappointed with R.E.M.'s last few albums since it is louder with significantly more energy. It's great to hear them really rocking again.
