Any Single Dads Out There?

Yes, you can see from my name that I am a Single Mommy. I'm not trying to use MyLot as a dating service, but how many single dads are out there on MyLot? I have met a couple single dads on here and many many single moms. So, let's have it! If you are a Single Parent then say it proudly!

I am a single dad and VERY proud of it!Even more proud when my son chose to come and live with me on 9th May 2008 after 12 years!Even more proud knowing how unfair the system is and I am so glad I did not need to go to court to fight for him, his mother finally accepted his wishes and let him come to live with me.
Now I am standing up for other separated aprents (mainly dads) to help them get to where they want to be - REASONABLE contact with their children after separation - ideally equally.
A toast to children being where they want to be!

Yes, sometimes the system isn't truly fair. My ex has primary custody of our daughter. Seem you can say anything you want to say and they believe you without investigating the person. Plus if you get other people to lie for you then you are definitely in. I'm thankful that I do have joint legal custody though. Plus, my daughter is with me quiet a bit, so I can't complain that my ex doesn't let me see her. Thanks for the comment and congratulations on getting you son to live with you. I am a single mom of 2. It can be hard playing the role of mommy and daddy sometimes. My son's father is pretty much useless and is never around. My daughters father at least makes an effort. He is not in her life as much as he would like to be since we moved 100 miles away from him, but he sees her every chance he gets.
