to me it was about me buying my kids christmas gift as well others. after i became disable i had a hard leason in the meaning of christmas. it's not about how much you send, but spending time with my family and close friends. telling them what they mean to me. telling all of them how i much i love them and care for them as well celbrating CHrist birth. my kids learned it's not howm much you send, giving the gift of spending time and tell those who you love dearly

Because I am Chinese, so Christmas is not important to me , but here I can also feel the Christmas atmosphere every year, and I feel good about that, In that day almost everyone feels relaxed and greets to each other now and then, all in all, Christmas is kind of like an relaxation!!

this simply means SHARING LOVE to everyone especially those who have became part of my life. A season of sharing and giving your time, blessing and hope especially those who are in need and hopeless. That is, thanking God for all the good thing He has showered into us through the years...

as i am not a religious person, to me christmas means all of the family getting together. it also means giving presents to each other and sharing a special meal. we also like to pull crakers and send cards. eventhough i do not celebrate the 'true' meaning of christmas, the fact that the whole family comes together for one day makes it special. happy mylotting

It is strange but it is not untill you have been ill or disabled like you are we find the true meaning of a lot of things.Your pleasures become more simple and I entirely agree with you.It is nice to hear from someone who feels the same as me.It is being with the precious ones in life that really matters, money does not matter since I gave up work two years ago due to ill health.I have woken up to the world.I was concerned about my son not getting all the stuff and having holidays were we all got far more than we needed. My son really surprised me when he said he was glad I was at home and he gave up his pocket money quite willingly and has never complained.I cook all my own food and there is not the rush in life and I can be there for my kids married or not.My husband is really happy,we have never got enough money but we don't care about that,it is being together that counts.Christmas being one of those times we can really show each other how much we appreciate on another and have some real good times together.I to enjoy buying presents for the kids and seeing thier faces when they open them on christmas morning is something so special and having the christmas food and extra treats, plus we must not forget it is christs birthday. You sound like you have given your kids some wonderful values to live by and that will see them through out thier life ,Happy Christmas, suzzyxx.

Christmas to me means r and r! A few days off work to spend with my family and enjoy them. They appriciate the time we spend together more than the things they get. Not to say they don't want their gifts...lol but it's a fun time.
