I don't put a tree up as I don't really have room for one so I tend to decorate my take but i love to see how people decorate their trees and I nearly always add an ornament with the presents I give for peoples trees...

Nice avatar! I love doing the tree at Christmas, and enjoy looking at everybody elses trees too. They're so pretty! Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera so I could share a pic, but I can tell you that all of my ornaments are very special to me. I have glass ball ornaments that survived the years ever since the 40's when they hung on another relatives tree. I have about 10 sheep ornaments that graced my one uncles tree when he was a child. He passed on 20+ years ago when he was in his late 80's, so you can imagine how utterly old they are (though still in good shape!) I have the family's red glass clip on bird ornament that my relatives brought when they emigrated to America in the mid 1800's from Germany. I made a really pretty tree skirt from all the ties that were the male relatives that have passed on. I only used the red, white, and green ones, and everybody asks where I got it because they love the points (from the tie bottoms) that circle the tree lol. The star is from another uncle's tree from when I was a kid. I redid it with glitter and gold; it used to hold those huge bulbs to light it (like the ones from back in the early 50's) Other ornaments include all the ones my kids made when they were in school over all the years, plus a picture ornament of them for each year from their school pictures. Now I'm doing the same with my grandchildrens pictures lol. Every year I make an ornament to commemorate a special event that happened in the family that year. And each year my kids and grandkids and I pick one new type of ornament to make for all of our trees. I guess you'd call my tree a 'memory tree' because it holds all kinds of family memories. Hope you have a wonderful holiday heavenschild!

First of all I love your name JoyfulOne! Thanks so much for sharing your tree with me in such vivid detail...It is one very special tree I can see! I have a few decorations that have been given to me over the years and then I have a theme of multicolored lights and red, silver and clear ornaments! I have a lot of angels as it seems people like to give those to me and I love my angels...mostly from aunts etc. I also have an ornament that I gave my husband the first year we were together and then our son's first Christmas ornament! Asd well as one homemade decoration that my son made last year at school! The top has a star that lights up but I long to have an Angel for up there too! Love the idea of making an ornament containing my child's school photo for each year...I may do that as he is just in Senior Kindergarten this year so it is not too late to do this! My holiday celebrations have already begun and so far it has been a wonderful Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday as well! ~Heavens~

Christmas trees are nice! I always wanted to have a Christmas tree at home, I just like to feeling of decorating and looking at it, it makes me feel happy. But I don't celebrate Christmas, and Christmas tree is always very expensive, so I never bought one. But I like to go shopping malls and see how they decorate Christmas trees, it's really nice and joyful. ^_^

Hi heavens, First of all, I'm very happy to report that I've received 'all' of your notifications. I really love your Christmas avatar. I 'finally' finished decorating our tree yesterday, and it looks so pretty. There are two brand new ornaments on it, that were a gift to my daughter on Sunday. They are lovely. Unfortunately, I can't share a photo with you here. I'd forgotten to 'tell you' that my daughter's beautiful digital camera is broken. She had it in her purse last week, and somebody must have stepped on it, or the purse was thrown somewhere, or something. According to my sister, it won't be worth fixing as the damage is really bad. However, my daughter still wants to look into the cost, but I'm not sure when she'll be able to afford this. Take care. Hugs

Hi Mom! So glad that your tree is now decorated! Sorry to hear about your daughters camera! I do hope that she can get a new one soon...I agree that it would not be worth fixing...better to get a new one for sure! I am so glad that she is sharing her ornaments with you this year...they are meant for her own tree when she is on her own! Thought she should have a start on that considering she will be eighteen in the summer! It is good that you are both going to be enjoying those this year though! Sorry, I cannot share a photo of mine with you weithr as I still seem unable to upload photos here! ~Heavens~

Christmas tree - My tree, minus the angel, which broke..
Here is mine, minus the angel which didn't light up, so my husband is going to look at it and see if he can fix it.. Mine is the one that my husband and son made. The branches are not real, but the trunk is. and most of my decorations are handmade, either from kids or friends..But towards the top and behind, away from kids and pets, are my better ones of glass and ceramic..
