Hello my dear myLotters, there are some webpages online where you can play the Game "Throw a shoe at President Bush". What do you think about this kind of pages? Background: A journalist threw both shoes last weekend towards Mr. Bush, luckily he was fast enough, so they didn't hit him. In the Games you can try to hit him. The websites announced that since wednesday already 3 Million shoes have been thrown towards him. The Links: http://www.kroma.no/2008/bushgame http://www.sockandawe.com http://bushbash.flashgressive.de (with highscore)

I had a look but I haven't got time to play it right now as I have too many things going on at the moment (well that's my story and I'm sticking too it ) Who get's the copyright revenue for this game? Mr Bush or the one who threw the shoes?

Hello mysdianait, I think Mr Bush is happy, that the journalist didn't hit him. He will be too shocked after it and can't recognized how much money he could make with it :-) Again a mistake in his business life like many saw it before in the Oliver Stone movie "W.". Very unlucky and i think often with a bit of cheating getting power and money. What do you think?

Personally, not to be disrespectful, (well maybe a little) I think it's funny. It's interesting that United States is listed as the top shoe throwing country. Regards

Hello ganderlot, hmm, what do you mean with US is the top shoe throwing country? You mean in the Highscore of the game or in reality throwing shoes towards politicians? I think too, that it's kind of sarcastic to use this event to produce such a game but the world seems to turn into this. As far as i know is the "Sock"-site against the war in Iraq. So it's kind of clear why they made this game ;-) Have a great time in myLot!

Heh well I think it's just really amusing, and very impressive at the same time. Amusing that you can have a go at it yourself without fear of getting brutally beaten up by Secret Service afterwards and impressive that it hasn't been very long and already there's flash games out about him :D

Hello thehuntedfuzz, for sure it is better not to get caught by the big guys from the Secret Service. Let's see if someone close down the pages perhaps CIA or FBI because of a national Thread or some other reason. They are very creative in inventing such reasons ;-) Hope everyone enjoyed these games, even they are not that creative because they just imitate reality in an ironic way. Have a great time and a good weekend, Merry Christmas!

I think it's kind of like putting up a picture of someone you're really mad at and throwing darts at it. It's one way to vent frustration, but a very childish one in my opinion. I'd rather turn my attention to something productive.

Hello thebeaddoodler, you're right, too. It's a very time wasting activity. There are better things in our world to do than playing this game but there is enough demand for playing this game. I believe mostly because many people doesn't like Mr. Bush. So they try to get rid of their frustration with throwing shoes towards him :-) Have a good day and stay productive ;-) !

Sounds like fun to me, I'd like to throw more then shoes, how about a snow ball. We have got to stop letting too much power get into one person's hands. It's a fine line to walk because we want the Presidential office to have power enough to make decisions but not to destroy us.

Hello savypat, there it comes a political comment on the achievements of the "old" president of the United States of America :-) I believe there are more persons involved in the background who make big money with the laws they made in the last 6 to 12 months. As long as the persons only throw virtual shoes on him, i think it's ok. It's much worse to do something like this in reality. Have some fun in myLot!

hey i played one of those and the high score there was 30 boots (there was a stipulated time...), but you know what, when I played, the game sort of hanged and I there was no clock at all. On my 200th boot to bush, I was tired so I stopped. You know what, it also showed which country threw the most number of shoes, and hee hee, US threw the most...... No hard feelings, President Bush...

Personally I think it's really wrong for someone to make a webpage allowing people to do this. I know it's not for real, but it just seems very childish. There are many of us that don't care for Bush at all, but come on, is that really a way to show your anger towards someone? Besides the fact that they are just taking someone else's idea or actions, they would have never thought about coming up with that site if it hadn't been for the jouralist.

Hello messageme, it's all true what you wrote about the game. But i would say, let them be childish and copy the "idea" of the person who threw the shoe towards Mr. Bush. Because we have the choice to take part in these games or not, and when we don't want to play it's ok. They don't need our support, they have already enough other persons who play/played the game. Have a great time in myLot, enjoy it!

Since it's evidently against the myLot police to say S pank the monkey, I had to alter the word. In any event, I think that games like this are funny. The game S pank the monkey is a game about taking a paddle to a monkey (stuffed) and if you knock him off his platform, then you get the song "Another one Bites the Dust" playing and cheers. It's quite fun. Same thing with these games about Bush. They are fun!

Hello MysticThomatoes, seems you like these kind of games when other person/animals have to bite the dust ;-) In the past around 14 years ago i tend to play such games, too. But now i'm more mature and look at it more as time-wasting opportunities when i would play more than 2 plays in a row. That's why i skip most of these games but offer it to other persons who have more time than me at the moment. Have a great time in myLot and enjoy the games!

I don't think people who played this game are maid at President Bush. It's just for fun, a way to attract attention, to make life happy and easier. I played the game, the cartoon is cute,it's just a little game. I like American's character and the manner they treat things. We don't need to take everything seriouly, if so, life will be hard.

I have watched this video but I have no political comments to this issue. I just think that Bush had a prompt response. If I were him, perhaps this shoe was already thrown to me. I found this video was very funny. I love China

well, to tell the truth, i do not like the game. it makes me feel unhappy, bush is a man , the presendent of american now. throeing shoes to him is also showing shoes to the americans. it is not a polict thing to throw shoes to others, although bush is not welcomed among the world for his policy, i do not think this can be a reason for people to do so. throw shoes can do nothing, but to release people's anger. however, is it fine and acceptable to do so, i do not think so!!! a nice day!
