I am trying to earn extra money online specially this time wherein the world is facing a financial crisis that is why i would like to know which is the best and fastest way to make money online, ptc or ppc and why? And also name sites that really pay and gives a generous amount.

In my opinion, most, if not all of these sites are scams which will either vanish without paying you or if they did pay initially, they would sooner or later vanish. None of them pay more than pennies anyway for hours of online time - not even enough to pay for your ISP fees let alone anything else.
In short, don't waste your time with them - look for a proper job offline - that's my advice.

I frequently read over the internet that most of these paid-to sites are scams. I have a job (ofcourse) i just would like to earn extra bucks. :)

Try out cashcrate I've made $30 in one month. I hear of people making 1000's with referrals if done properly. You get like 20% of what your referrlas make. Please pm me if you want the links s you can join under my referral. Its simple you just fill out surveys and such and get paid. NO need to get qualified for survey.
