Now I know I slept all night, very sound too. For the past month when I wake up it feels like I havent slept at all. Like my brain is going a million miles a minute. i have been having very vivid dreams lately. Could it be because of my dreams? Am I not letting my brain rest enough? I guess I dont know how I would control the way i dream. This ever happen to you? Any advice?

Yes, it happen to me several times. Once was because I did not get enough sleep and rest for the whole week. So, although I woke up late (I mean after 11 am), I still I felt tired in weekends. Other case, my mind was blowing with problems, and it kept on circulating inside my brain. Thus, sleeping early at night at that time did not help in getting me feel fresh so that I can go out of the problem. Plus, it made me much more worse. Just think, problems + feeling exhausted after all night sleep.... I don't know if dreams affect our sleeping quality, but seems I saw the responses here, I think dreams can affect our sleeping quality.

Yes, our mind play the biggest role in affecting our sleep quality. May you will never ever again feel tired when you woke up. All the best. :)

It might be that I have had alot on my mind lately. I am going to try and take the advice here and relax a bit before bed and hopefully that will work. Thanks for your response.

Once in awhile I don't feel rested and refreshed when I wake up in the morning. I find that I havent slept well and it really bothers me. I like to be able to sleep and feel like I have slept at night. I usually take some sort of sleep medicine either tylenol or herbals when I go to bed. If I take soemthing like this I can be pretty assured that I am going to have a good and restful nights sleep.

well sometimes maybe our body and muscles and stuff in our body basically goes to sleep but our mind doesnt... thats when you still feel tired when you wake up after a good long sleep too..this happened with me just once.... i had slept for aoround 8 hours at a stretch but when i woke up i realised that i was still tired and went back to sleep for another 4 hours..... dreams could also make your sleep restless..... more the dreams more times you wake up in the night..... sometimes you wake up but dont realise in your sleep that you have woken up and wouldnt remember it in the morning too but in reality you have had a restless night cos of your dreams and so you feel like you havent slept at all... thats why it is said that before you go to sleep it is always better to do a little relaxation.... of the mind and the body.... you have to stop thinking firstly of what all happened in the day and also take out all your tensions and worries for the night..... once you do this your mind will start relaxing and then your body relaxation will follow and then thats when you will have a peaceful and deep sleep !! i do it everyday.... try it out... might work....!!
