I managed to get some Cava sparkling wine today at a good discount (Tescos for my UK readers) of £3 a bottle rather than the normal £7.49! To celebrate The Boss asked me to crack a bottle. I did and managed to spill some on the kitchen floor. It landed right on top of a tomato sauce stain that was on my list of things to clean up. I can say categorically that Cava cleans tomato sauce stains up beautifully! So what blatant examples of conspicuous and obnoxious good living have you seen recently!!

Hi p1key,
Gosh! that is good get a £3.00 bottle of Cava and you can drink it as well as good for cleaning stains, beats all of those cdleaning agents, hehe but did you enjoy it? I mean the taste of it, and nope I haven't seen it recently, not in my household anyway. Hugs.

*LOL* A bit drastic, perhaps, but yeah, it would seem so.

Cool, well now I know what to get those pesky tomato stains out..I like to use baking soda, white vinegar, peroxide and shampoo to help get stains out if I run out of my Oxiclean.

I wonder if the Cava would work in the armpits of my son's work shirts! For some reason known only to young lads, he sprays deodorant on AFTER putting the shirt on - therefore, the stuff makes a big mark in the armpit of the shirt! (Go figure ...) He was particularly annoyed last week to find BOTH his new white shirts came out of the wash with big stains on them. They obviously need soaking in Cava! (Or the Aus equivalent ...)

Hardy Har Har! Seriously though, I'll try it. I don't get what happened with the white t-shirts - they must have been made of some fabric which reacted badly to the deodorant chemicals. He's ALWAYS sprayed it on the outside armpits of his shirts and I've never seen THAT before. Then he bought these two white t-shirts (with something printed on the front) and ruined them both on the same weekend! I hope I haven't set the stain permanently by washing them ...
