I'm on a desktop and I just press the print screen button on the top right of my keyboard. Then I go to paint or some program similar to it and just ctrl-v it(paste it.) Or edit, and then paste. I'm not sure if it's any different on Vista. I use XP.

hii friend, its not control + printscreen but it is the shift + printscreen the prtscr button is the one next to f12. you need to do a shift + printscreen and then copy paste it to a new ms paint document. you can save it as a jpeg or bmp image. this is the simple way to take screenshot. it works well in windows xp, i think it will work well in window vista also.

You should be able to use the print screen button on your keyboard. you can then paste the shot wherever you like.

ctrl and print screen is how you copy a your screen on windows XP. I don't use windows vista, so can't tell how to do it there.
