Do you love to cook? What dish is your specialty?

This Christmas season, food is one of the main events. I am not fond of cooking but I want to prepare fruit salads or macaroni salads, and I also eat a lot. Food would be extravagant this Christmas. Be conscious of the food that you eat. Don't overstuff yourself especially before you go to sleep. Avoid meat fat and concentrate more on lean meat. Have lots of fruits to counter bad fats. What about you, what food do you want to cook this holiday season? Happy holidays.

anything with very dark chocolate is good with me, but it's best if you don't eat too much with cookies etc.

i have read that dark chocolate is good for our health. taking a sufficient amount of it, is specifically, excellent for the heart as it enhances blood flow. my son was advised by the doctor to take some dark chocolates everyday. the bitter ones better for him. he has leukemia by the way. no worry, he has already survived the more scary years. he is on the good road to better healthy days coming in.

And for migraines for the same reason. Migraines (i suffer those) are a restriction of the blood vessels in the brain behind the eyes. The pain is incredible and profound. Old wives tales are often true. Chicken soup works when you have the flu. Eat Turkey if you can't sleep. Children with ADHD drink strong coffee and act calmly. Gramma always did know what she was talking about.

Yes, I agree, it has been proven through research that dark chocolates are good for the heart and are healthy foods. The old age remedies do work. Happy holidays.

Yes, I do love cooking. I used to watch my mother and older sisters cook when I was still a child. My specialty is Carbonarra. I learned the recipe from my sister. I like cooking Carbonarra especially when there is an occassion. It is a good alternative for spaghetti which is usually prepared during birthdays here in the Philippines. Well, during this Holiday, I will not be preparing Carbonarra but have Macaroni salad instead. It is easier to prepare.

Thanks for this valued advice, which has come just in the right time. It is difficult to keep things under control during this Christmas season. But intake of fruits will definitely counter-balance the evil effects. BTW, I graciously rely on my Mom and my sister to take the full charge of our family kitchen. I like to spend joyous moments more in our tiny dining table and to cheer them up a lot.

I like to cook, but only if I have the time and money to buy all the ingredients. I try to not eat a lot of cooked food though, hence my user name. And no, I don't mean raw meat! Just mainly fruits and vegetables I try to eat the most of. I'm not against meat and not a complete vegan, but I do try to avoid meat and dairy as much as possible!

i love to cook. i believe it runs in the family. most of us are kitchen people - out of habit, out of love for cooking. as of this time, i cannot brag of any specialty at all. after all, if i feel right at it, what i will be cooking will surely come out tasting right and good. we just had some spaghetti today and some beef stew. i remember the sauteed veggies. we do not specifically prepare foods just to fit any occasion. eating is just a day to day activity. so we prepare foods at home as to the clamors and feel of my home companions.
