Have you ever traveled at Christmas time?

I have spent one Christmas in Australia and it was a hot day in Queensland. I swam on a palm fringed beach. Years later I spent one Christmas in New Zealand. I was staying in a Bay of Islands and went out on a dolphin stopping trip. I swam with wild dolphins and that was an amazing experience. Both of those times I was on a long trip so I hadn't flown out at the most expensive time of the year. I will be going to Cape Town in January and spending Christmas at home this time. Have you ever traveled at Christmas time? If so what did you enjoy about that? Would you want to travel overseas or would you rather have Christmas at home?

I would love to travel during christmas time... i have never done this because in my country... the tradition is to stay put and be with family during this time of the year... but it would be nice to do something different... maybe when i have enough money... my daughter and i might spend one chirstmas in a place where she will enjoy... like Hong Kong Disneyland...

No I have never travelled at Christmas time unless you count going on a work trip to Florida near to it and it was very Christmassy everywhere I went whcih was strange considering it was sunny and back home it was raining!! lol I think if I had the money and didn't have my three dogs I would like to go away at Chrsitmas time one year! Not sure where I guess it would be something I'd think about more if it became a real option for me to do!

My family typically stays home for the holidays but this year we've decided to go to Disneyland. Yes, it's going to be cold and crowded but the kids will still have a blast there. We are all lokking forward to this trip.

Once. It was when I was eight. That Christmas, my folks decided to take my sister and me to Disney World in Florida.

I think i would choose to stay art home with my family. Christmas is the most important family holiday we celebrate here in my country. As a closed knit family we love to spend the holidays together. Though, sometimes we cannot afford to have all the necessary food and trimmings that goes with the celebration, it is still best to be with the family and loved ones. Merry Christmas, my friend!

I enjoy spending Christmas with my family, and we spend Thai New Year, april with her family in northern Thailand, That's the best of both worlds.

I never travelled at Christmas, but I spendt one in the states. I was there for 10-11 months. Other than that I have only travelled in Norway for Christmas. To see the in-laws. I think it would be a great thing to go away for the entire month of december. Have a great trip in january!

My preference is to stay home. I don't like to travel on the holidays. The farthest we have gone is to my in-laws home. That is a 4 hour long round trip car ride. Too many crazies on the roads for my liking.

I would rather have Christmas at home so that i can be with my Family, but i would not mind going to america just for one year to see how different the culture is from where i live, thanks
