Sometimes helping puts us in a dangerous situation. I once helped a woman who was asking for directions. A man joined us and when I told him that I was in a hurry and that he will help the woman, he detained me and said we have to help the woman together. So we went inside a fast food and we talked for a few minutes. I never realized that I was being hypnotized and swindled next. We were able to withdraw my money in the bank. Good thing the bank did not allow me to withdraw not more than ten thousand pesos. So I ended up being swindled 10 thousand pesos from my account, the 3500 pesos cash I had in my wallet, a seiko watch and even my umbrella. The next time someone asks you for help. Don't entertain them. If you would like to answer them, don't look into their face. Just tell them to go to the policeman for help. I was told that these people have a way of hypnotizing people so that people will end up saying yes to everything they want. I experienced that. When I finally awoke from the trance, I finally realized that I felt like an idiot following everything they told me to do. I told you this story to beware of strangers asking for help. Not all people asking for help are swindlers but always be careful so that you will not end up a victim.

I know one incidents like what happened to you. I have a friend his my school mate. We we're having a school program and everyone were busy preparing for the event. He was about to buy some snacks for the group when he meet a woman looks like one of the school visitors. The woman said that shes going to donate some big money to our program to make it more fabulous and more fun. She said she was about to call her secretary but she left her phone to her car, she then asked my friend if he can assist her to her car which she park about two blocks away from our school. My friend whom is gentleman enough to help her carry her belongings and assist her to her car. On their way to the car the woman was full of stories about how she wants to give big amount to our school. When they reach the car it was locked she said her secretary might be buying some snacks and ask my friend to wait and while waiting they talked about many things after about ten minutes the woman asked my friend if he can allow her to use his brand new Nokia Nseries phone to call her secretary, my friend let her use his phone, after calling he asked my friend some money because she said her secretary will be late and she want to go home just want to give the money to our school and she said she will tell her secretary to just return the money to him. My friend keeps on doing what she wanted him to do, he withdraw his 5 thousand pesos savings from his ATM account and the woman left with his money and his brand new Nokia Nseries phone. When he return to our school he was really shocked why he do all what the woman told him and he even gave his dream phone which he just bought about two days ago. He then realized that he became a victim with those modus operandi. He blamed his self why he let that woman do those things.

He can't blame himself because things like this aren't our fault. They happen when we least expect them. It's always wise to be careful whom you speak too and help. And the best is to always ask for someone with you when you are talking to somebody. They can't do there plans if you have someone with you according to people. So these people always find people who are alone.

You just have to be aware of who these people are. I mean, you can't give anyone more money than you intend to ever lose. If you really are in a situation in which you do not want to help but you feel as though you are being forced to, just walk away, even if you're in the middle of a sentence when you realize you feel as though you are being help against your will or something. You have to always keep yourself in total control!

I'm sorry to tell you that you have no control over these people. They have something or they do something to you to be unaware and say yes to everything they tell you. These people work in groups. There are countless people who have been victims of these people and the authorities are hunting them. I never believed in hypnotism before but when I experienced it, that was the time when I believed some people could hypnotize and keep the person believe and follow whatever is told them.

Do be careful. People always have something in them. Cellphone, or anything that they can get from you.

I am sorry that this happen to you but where was the lady. Is it that both of them were working together. It is so sad that persons has intelligent brain and instead of using it for the betterment of themselves and their country they used it on their fellow citizens. These things happen worldwide. It is so sad.

Yes, it was a modus operandi where they work in groups. One would go first then another comes pretending not to know the other but they are working together. There are many cases like this in the Philippines and one must be very careful when dealing with strangers. The lady was crying and she looked so desperate. She said she was just widowed and she was bringing a truck of prawns to manila when the truck had a trouble. the woman was looking for a truck to be hired and was asking me to show directions where to go. When I asked to go because I was going somewhere, the man detained me and said we have to help the woman because she needed help. So we rode a trycicle and we went around the place and then in the end they took all I have and run away with it without my knowing it. It was tough.

Hey masmasika, Wow, i'm shocked. This is the first time I have heard about an incident such as this. Hypnotism? Loss of cash? Where am I? It must have been a scary ordeal for you. Sounds like something out of a Hollywood thriller. Thanks for the advice though, a real eye opener, just when I thought criminals couldn't sink any lower, now they resort to this??? How sad. Anywho, hope all is well. ;) And kudos for the discussion.

It seemed like a dream to me. I who never believed in black magic before but I became a victim of what seemed impossible. Now I know that some people could do anything just to perpetrate a crime.

Similar cases have happened in Malaysia. I know many people find it hard to believe that such a thing is possible until they get hit. In most cases the perpetrators use black magic though this is also disbelieved. I believe in both black magic and power of suggestion or psychological manipulation. I have personally seen several mantras/incantations/verses to hypnotise people. Most of them require an eye to eye contact. So your suggestion of not to look into the eyes of strangers is valid. all the best, rosdimy

You are right. One must not look directly into the eye because that is where you get hypnotized. I also believe in such things and now that I have experienced it I am more careful not to be a victim again.

Nowadays a lot of criminals and cheaters are finding prey in good-hearted people. It happens a lot in other countries too such as in Malaysia, my country. During my trip to Spain, it was similar. A stranger asked my friend for direction, and in the end asked him to give the stranger money for no reason.

Yes, there are people who do all means to extract money from others. One just have to be real careful about it. It isn't simple. One could always be a victim of this thing. Like me, I was just walking when a woman approached me for directions.
