I used to ride at the MRT trains. Since I lived, then, at Paranaque and work at Quezon City, I usually boarded at Magallanes station up to Quezon Avenue station. From what station do you board the MRT and to what destination?

i am not an everyday rider of MRT. but i do ride it when i go to Makati, or Edsa Shangri-la, coming from the office in Quezon City. The trip would be faster, smoother, than having a bus ride. I would prefer an MRT ride than a bus. But if the options includes a cab, i would choose the cab. hehehe. i know a lot of friends who benefitted from MRT. it really saves time in their travel. =)

Riding in a cab is nice but also more expensive than an MRT ride.

hello Ethanonthemoon! i love riding the MRT! in my rare rides, i just can count the number of times! he he,.. i have enjoyed riding them. smooth, and less traffic, few people. at least, i get good experiences in riding them. i heard stories from officemates about how crowded the train could get, especially during rush hours! and the long line of course to buy/ get tickets! well, i'm lucky i don't have to go through all that!

Yes, that is right, that it gets crowded in rush hours. That's why we have that "stored value" ticket. Stored value tickets are convenient to use especially in cases of rush hours. You could buy these stored value tickets for a 100 pesos.

I only ride the MRT when i go to Makati for a meeting with my boss... she lives in Dasmarinas... so i board at the very first station which is North Avenue... infront of SM North Edsa... the go down at the Ayala station and wait outside SM Makati where the driver will pick me up... I am glad that the MRT station was built... because i do not have to go through that traffic in Cubao... Ortigas... Guadalupe... Boni... etc...

Lets be careful on this one: first, second, third, etc. depends on your point of origin. It may be first, if you came from the north, but from the southerners point of view, North Avenue station is the last station in the MRT line. Hehehe. Just a point I want to share. I agree with you, in the point, that MRT reduced the stress factor of going through EDSA.

i use to ride the mrt a lot especially when i moved to paranaque. i work at quezon city and the mrt is indeed a blessing. unlike you though, i don't board at magallanes station. i find it easier to board at pasay-taft station since there are more seats available. quezon avenue and north avenues are my usual stops. anyway, i really enjoy riding the mrt as it is faster and more convenient compared to taking a bus or jeep. cheers!!!

mrt - convenient and traffic-free
I don't ride the MRT everyday. But whenever i'm going to the North bound to visit a friend, my station is Shaw or Ortigas to North Edsa. It's really convenient and of course traffic-free! It would only take me more or less 10mins to be there. I'm looking forward to the on-going construction of MRT extension (North Edsa to Monumento Effortless because departing the North Edsa station, i would still ride a taxi going to my friend's place but if the Monumento station will be done, i would only ride the tricycle, budget saved. LOL!

I also heard that news. That they will make an extension of the MRT3 from the North Aveue station to the new "Roosevelt" and "Balintawak" stations. If Balintawak station should push through, it will connect the Monumento station of LRT1.
