Nicknames, I think are a lot of fun. It is fun to give a Nickname to someone and see if it catches on. I like Nicknames and don't get offended by them at all. My nickname is Cripple, the reason being people say that I walk strange, my right leg usually hurts, and I usually injure my right leg. I don't get offended by it. Only my friends call me by this though. My brother's nickname is Cuddles. The reason being, I have no clue. One day, I just gave him that nickname. Tat is more of just a family nickname though, but now everyone in my family calls him Cuddles. What is your/people you know's nickname? What do you thing about nickname? Are they offensive, pointless, fun, interesting, ect.? Thank you for sharing your opinion and happy Mylotting.

In our family we use nickname a lot and normally it is base on our name. but, we do have a funny nicknames if we're mad or upset like my name is honey and they call me hon if their not upset, they call me skinny if they want me to get upset. which is very offensive because i used to be skinny growing up and now even if im no longer skinny they still do that , i cant imagine they still say that, i quess they just miss my being so skinny at that time.lol.

Yea, sort of the same for me. Nicknames seem to stick with you.

Giving nicknames is one way to remember a person better. In my place nicknames are given based on real names, physical appearances, characteristics, behaviour, or simply plucked out of thin air. I see nicknames as something which identify us. So generally we should be proud of any nickname given to us unless the nickname is really offensive. From a positive point of view the giver cares or pays attention to us. If people call me by offensive names I would simply not reply. all the best, rosdimy
