I just watched "Seven Pounds" today. Great film. It's a drama, although the trailer may lead you to believe it's a suspense film.
The acting, screenwriting, cinematography are stellar in the movie. The story unfolds itself bit by bit, and it isn't until the end that you figure out how all the pieces of the movie fit together.
Once again. It's a drama, not suspense. Very well done.
I can't go into the plot because it would ruin the movie's story. It has to unfold in order for you to understand the mood behind this film, but it is about a man who helps out a bunch of strangers for a specific purpose.
You may want to bring a date, but it's not that kind of date movie. She'll get emotional, though.

I watched this movie yesterday too and I liked it. I actually figured out what was gonna happen from the beginning, well except I didn't know what one thing was going to be used for until the end but I won't say what it was.
And yes, I cried lol.

I really do want to see this movie. I'm glad that you shared that you liked it, because I read somewhere online that it was not going to be a big hit. Will Smith is awesome though and I can't wait to see it.

i've just watched this movie recently. it was a really amazing movie. very touching and deep! the ending was very sad..i was merely holding back tears in the cinema!

I've seen the previews for this, and it honestly ticks me off that nobody can say what the movie is about!! I want more information before I decide if I want to see it or not, lol.
I've decided I want to see it just to figure out what it's about, but I will wait until it's on video. I don't go to theaters anymore.

This was a great movie! It did appear to be that of a suspense film, and though it wasn't, I wasn't disappointed. I was very surprised in certain parts, and had to really look deeper into the situations faced, but it definitely was an amazing movie that I would recommend for others to watch. Even if drama is a preferred genre, it is a good movie and is one that would make anyone think about their life, regardless of what they are facing. This movie truly shows the true and in-depth meaning of humanity to its fullest extent!! Loved it!

I just got back from seeing it also and I liked it a lot. You're right, it's not something we can tell too much about without ruining the whole story. Actually, I think it IS a suspense movie in a way but just not in the "conventional" sense. I agree it was very well done and I highly recommend it.
