I saw on TV the other day a famous teacher giving advice on open communication, an important element for career success. People not good in open communication tend to be over-obeying, leaving or fighting when uncountering problems. Parents must be mind their behavior to give an optimal environment for the children. Do you have similar experiences? And how are you doing to influence positively? I appreciate your sharing to support the discussion.

Small children learn from those around them. Therefore the assertion that a person's manners are related to his/her own families has a general truth. Parents should show and teach positive values to their offspring. Children take the cue from their parents. It is not possible for parents with bad manners to instill good behaviour in their children. Even if the children are sent to a teacher to have manners drilled into their minds it would be an uphill task for the teacher. If parents want their children to have impeccable manners then they have to start with themselves. This is how I try to influence my children. all the best, rosdmy

I believe family education plays a very important role in one's life. Sometimes, I see some misbehave kids, and when I look at the parents, and I can understand why the kids behave like that. It's the parents who built them these characters. Of course, when a kid grows older, he will learn from school or from other friends, and he may become a better person. But, family is the first place where the kids always be with, and thus the family education is really important. I believe if the parents teach the kids to have good manners, and the kids will do.

i really don't think so as it depends till some extend on parents . rest the child gets from the world around him/her. as may notice sometime two brother/sister are completely different from each other.
