Ever had to fake it?

Maybe it is because I am just so tired. But I am just not in a holiday mood. Having the baby around the holidays has really sapped my strength. All I really want to do is curl up in bed and watch old movies. Take care of my kids and not move. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. Ever felt like this around a holiday or special date?

Yes, I have experienced the same feeling before. I think that it comes from being overly tired during special times of year. I think that stress also factors into the problem. Most people are stressed during the holidays. I think in your case it has a lot to do with your little ones. It is a busy job taking care of children. Trying to get everything together for the holidays only adds to your responsibilities. Just take a rest. Put your feet up and get some time to yourself. Hopefully, you will feel well rested and ready for the day ahead of you by tomorrow.

Ah, I had a thought about making a joke about the thread title, but decided against it.

Well, I certainly have had to fake the holiday spirit before many times had to do so today since we had our family dinner this evening. It is just a stressful time of the year and add to it that you had a baby recently and your body is still adjusting and everything You won't feel chippers for a little while yet. Although I am wishing you to be chipper and boisterous soon,, I wasn't in the mood at all today to even have company and yesterday We took our phone bill money and paid for a few gifts for the kids so they would have something, I just wish it was more appreciated.Seems they are harder and harder to please the older they got. I think I only smiled once all day and that was when my little sister told me she loved me and wished me Merry Christmas. It is so easy to be in the doodlums this time of year. Hopefully next year we will be facing a better brighter happier year.
