Is your living room floor a mess now?

We picked up our house so that it would be clean when my parents and brother came over to open up gifts together. Now the floor is littered with crumpled up wrapping paper, gifts and boxes. I'm not really complaining, but it's like I just cleaned in here, and it's a mess again! Ever feel that way?

Nope it's actually rather clean. This is one of the first years that we've ever had where the floor didn't become littered with boxes or wrapping paper or anything like that. It's amazing that I didn't get stuck cleaning up everything after the day was over.

My parents don't let us make the living room messy or else they will be mad at us. So if we see litters on the floor we just pick it up and throw it.... :)

We have a well worked out routine now that when we open our presents we take into the 'best room' which we use for special occasions and for visitors etc and when mum needs a break from her old man, a big black bin bag, you know one of those big black bags you put household rubbish in, as soon as we open our presents the wrappings, labels etc go straight into the black bag, no mess and it's all tidy! So absolutely no mess, just piles of opened gifts neatly stacked, naturally!

I feel that way pretty often but right now I'm fully covered:) Got my gifts yesterday and took out the trash with all the wraps immediately. Was a bit sad but who cares about the paper? It's contents that matter;)
