I'm far away from my parents' home in Alabama. I'm in India, wishing I could be there. We had Indian food for dinner, which is fine usually, but today I want turkey, ham, and mashed potatoes. And pumpkin pie. I wish my 3 year old could be with her grandparents today. Anyone else away and feeling lonely?

I'm sorry but I thought you made it back to the states for sometime. You didn't get turkey. You need to do what I have done for years. Christmas is just another day. I never did care for christmas as it was a big fraud. I enjoy the dinner part. But when they all want presents no. I wish you could of been here I had all that. But here the pumkin pie was nasty my roommate made it. He can't smell used old spices and they where bad. ICK is all I can say. You have a great day. Your friend onlydia

Christmas isn't really a big deal to me, except when my family is all having a turkey dinner, and I'm not there.LOL about the pie. Did you tell him it was bad?

Yes his son gave him a piece first he got this look on his face but was going to eat it anyway. I told him no it is bad come on. He was mad as he tried so hard. I told him why and he goes put all spices in trash. I'm like no. The ones on the top shevel are good. He used the ones by oven and I had told him to out them in trash along time ago as they got cooked my the heat from the stove. He is lsughing about it now. You friend onlydia.

Yeah unfortunately I have to say that I know how you feel. Currently I'm in the US (attending college) but I'm from Europe. This is my second Christmas away from home and the feeling really sucks!

What part of Europe are you from? What kind of food do you eat at Christmas? What's so weird here in India is that it doesn't feel like christmas. Very few xmas trees or decorations or lights. And it's not really cold. Snow is an impossibility.
