People cannot do without sleep. But have you ever cared about the position of your head when sleeping? The head is supposed to be in a certain direction respectively for the four seasons. But in whichever season shouldn't the head be directed to the north. It is the reasonable direction is related to the magnetic field of the globe where we are living.

Yeah zhuhuifen, I agree that sleep is one of the most essential things for us after a hard day work. We would get refreshed and energetic again only after having a proper rest. I am a Chinese from Malaysia and I understand what you mean here. All the things related to the direction of the main front door of our house facing, the position of the bed in our bedroom as well as the position of our head when sleeping are regarded as Feng Sui or one of those from the book Yi Jing, or might be what I say here is wrong as I know a little of this only by reading some magazines I know some people here would pay quite a great amount of money to invite the famous Feng Sui master here or from foreign country to guide them how to arrange their furniture, stove, faucets and etc in the best position of their new house before they move in. They believe by doing this they could live a prosperous and healthy life in future. From your words, mean that people living in the temperate countries which have four seasons would live healthier if to sleep in four different directions according to the movement of magnetic field of our planet is good to them. I wonder whether people like me, who live in a tropical country where there are only sunny and rainy season, would be affected by the magnetic field. posting and take care.

I don't really know much about all these. But my mom is very particular about the directions and would not let us sleep with our head towards the forbidden directions. I am sure there is something scientific about this whole belief but its not possible to believe all such things every time.

that may be true for you, but what about the people living south of the equator? around my area, no thought is given to your idea...I will mull on it for a while, and maybe when I build my next house, I will face the bedrooms so the bed headboard will face north (right now I'm facing south and yet I sleep very well). I like the idea though, it may have its warrants.
