who is the most famous celebrity of your country?

i am an indian and it is the country with maximum diversity in the world so by taking single name over here i cannot disgrace the hundreds of celebrity which are theer in my country. i mean to ssay that in every field we hav a celebrity whoever does a unique work in our country becomes celebrity. i will nam efew of them like politics - rahul gandi,sonia gandhi,manmophan singh etc scienec - dr. kalam film - aamir khan,shahrukh khan,amitabh bachchan,akshay kumar singer- a r rehman,sonu nigam there r so many yar i can not list them down i dont know ur nationality so if u r not an indian then do visit our country and come to know about this.

There are so many I am not sure who is the most famous but I can tell you a few that I hear about the most and are always doing something. For Females it would be Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet, Drew Barrymore, and for guys it would be Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Will smith, Denzel Washington, and there are so many more but that is all I can name right now. We have so many famous actors and actresses it is so hard to keep up with them all.

The most famous celebrity of my country is a person who fights for my country on the borders. He is the soldier of our army. Harsh weather conditions, enemies' bullets or whatever cannot deter his spirits. He fights the enemies, the terrorists till the last breadth of his life. And yet there are only a few persons who know his name. Though everybody acknowledges his doings. We all salute the brave soldiers of our country, who according to me is the most important celebrity.

When I first saw the discussion Usain Bolt sprang to my mind but then he is globally known.He is the double world record holder for the men 100 and two hundred metres .He ran to fame at the Beijing Olympics

I am an Indian and there are plenty of Indians who are famous Celebrities. Naming a few would be Aamir Khan, Shah rukh khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwary Rai,Mahatma Gandhi, Rajnikanth, etc etc.. But as of now, the famous ppl are those who lost their lives in the Mumbai attacks. All the jawans and the NSG commandoes. I think Hemant Karkare tops the list.
