The Blair Witch Project was a film that really got to me. I remember watching it and thinking, this isn't so bad. But two days later, I was thinking about the movie and had to turn on all the lights. It was very disturbing. I realized then, that a film which can scare you days after you've seen it, is a scary film. The quick jolts in the theater are nothing compared to the lingering anxiety that builds up after you leave. Normally, I'm like you, I don't get scared in the theater, but that film really got to me. *shudder*

Actually, I think it's an amalgam of legends. I've lived in that area and don't remember anything about it. I seem to remember somebody saying that it was complete fiction at the time.

Saw...all of the Saw series. I mean, I don't really get scared from it, movies don't really make me that scared where I have to turn all the lights on, lock all of the doors or whatever, because I already know that bad can exist. This movie just makes the mind think even harder. Is Jig Saw really a bad person or was he trying to open the eyes to many people? Yes, what he did to people was torture them, but it was for a lesson. It's just amazing how the human mind works and puts things together and the endings are always amazing. Then on the scary side, it is scary to think that someone in the world could be just like this...but we have already come to face reality with this fact. "He doesn't want us to cut through our chains, he wants us to cut through our feet!" That's not the only scary movie series out there, there are other ones such as Pet Semetary and It. As far as the Blair Witch Project goes...it does play with the mind and that is why I have done a lot of research on it in the past. Normally, they wouldn't release something to public like this unless their families approved it and it would have been all over the news. But if you look up the actual "actors" in the movie, you will find they are still alive today. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0231946/bio and you will see Heather Donahu and what she has to say about the Blair Witch Project. The movie was developed in 1993 and Heather graduated from University of Arts in 1995. Most of the film was filmed in Seneca Creek State Park, with only a few scenes filmed in Burkittsville. However, just because the movie is a false does not mean it didn't happen. That's my opinion. ~Melanie

i sure do agree to the saw movies. i dont think jig saw was bad i think he was hurt to see how the world was. The free clinc his wife was running was something that was helping people but despite of that some one made her lose her baby. Good facts on the blaire witch made me think differnet.

Scary movies don't usually scare me, except probably The Exorcist. I think I got traumatized by it when I saw it when I was still very young. Still scary after all these years.
