present, past and perfect participles look at the examples below and create similiar one example presnt participle (verb+ing) (a.I) since she felt dizzy, she lay down for a rest. (b.II) .................................................................... past participle (a.I) As he was disgusted by what they had done,he did not speak to them. (a.II) Disgusted by what they had done, he did not speak to them. (b.I) ........................................................................ (b.II) ......................................................................... example: have something done ( passive voice ) Rewrite the sentence shown within the bracket using the passive form of " have something done". (a.I)I didnt recognise mary. ( the hairdresser's dyed her hair. she has had her hair dyed.) (a.II) ..................................................................... Maybe a bit late - I didn't see this one until now. (I) since he was hungry, he ate a hamburger. feeling hungry, he ate a hamburger. (II) As he was surprised by the question, he did not answer. Surprised by the question, he did not answer. (III) (a) I didn't recognise Mary. She had the hairdresser dye her hair. (b) I'm getting lots of annoying calls. I'm going to have the phone company change my number. Hope it helps... and hope they're right...
