Trade unions

Hey guys do you really feel to join trade union in this present business industries.
When you join unions you need to abide by their rules & regulations like whenever they want to have strike,you should also join them nomatter you like or approve it or not.You can not go by your heart.Also it has advantage like when you have problem with your management and if the management does not seem to listen to that you can fight thru the unions . So what do you think guys?

In my country, most of the unions support a political party which I've always been opposed to, so that's always put me off joining. It's also been my experience that when I've worked for big corporations, the unions are happy to take the members' money, but don't actually seem to do anything useful. That's not to say that there aren't exceptions, of course.
