Finally finished my new blanket

Here's another blanket I just finished last night. I started it during the summertime. Yes I know it's taken me a long time to crochet it, but that's because I didn't work on it day and night. I would do some of it only once in awhile when I would watch a movie or tv. Usually it takes me about a week or so to finish one. I was going to give this one to my friend's daughter but I think I'm going to keep it for myself because I love pink! What do you think of my new blanket?

I like it. I like pink too. I have tried to learn how to crochet. I can get the first line done then everything goes downhill. I wish i could make my own blankets and creative other things.

Nice, I love the color combination. I have not crocheted any blanks in awhile. I set crochet goals for 09, and I have down 5 blankets to give to charity.

I'm not sure what fastinates me about pink and purple... but I think it looks so pretty. I picked out those colors before and made a blanket for my mother in law before and she enjoyed that. Thanks for your comment and happy new year

I love to crochet, it helps me relax and just meditate my thoughts when I'm just doing that alone. If I throw on a movie and start to work on my blanket, it really helps pass time. Sometimes I'll also take my them to work and that makes hours go by quickly. Thanks for your comment

I like that yarn. I have a scarf and a shawl made from it. I still have a skein left.

I did a few new blankets this year. I crocheted one and the other was a fleece tie blanket. I am almost done with the last crocheted one for my youngest daughter. I spend a lot of my time crocheting dishcloths to give to my family at Christmas time, but still almost always end up doing a blanket too. Maybe I should finish this last blanket and just start crocheting next year's blankets now. I love your blanket, by the way!

I loved making a fleece tie blanket! They were so very simple to make and the hardest part of that was trying to find material I liked and the rest was a peice of cake! Now I'm debating on doing another blanket but my hubby will bug me about it saying something along the lines of why don't you find another hobby to do? You've already make 10 blankets. Grrrrrr men! lol

I think it's nice - I had to scroll down to see the picture in the comments, but at least I got to see it. I once started an afghan and didn't finish it until 7 years later.

Thank you cutepenguin, I had fun working on the blanket now it's keeping me nice and warm. I'm debating on whether or not I should get more yarn and make another one or not. Soon this house will be full of blankets lol. I started a cross stitching project about four years ago and once I put it down, I left it and it's still unfinished. Thanks for your comment Happy new year

i like to crochet as well and do quite a bit of it over the winter. earlier in the fall though, i pulled a muscle in my wrist crocheting and i still find it hard to do so, but if i wear a wrist brace, i am usually ok.

Awwwwe there's nothing worse than that! I couldn't imagine not being able to crochet because of an injury! I'm glad the wrist brace works for you. Happy new year

it looks great like it would be really soft and snuggly, which is the most important part as far as i am concerned!

Yes it does the job. The nice thing about it to is that it's machine washable! I don't like the way the yarn stretches though because it loses it's form. I really like the blankets when they are newly finished. Thanks for your comment happy new year
