If you are like me and can't have caffeine but like coffee, you may have heard of Postum. I was just starting to remember about it and wanting to buy some to see if I would like it when I find it is not being sold anymore around here. Does anyone out there know what happened to Postum and is it being sold anywhere still? If you have tried it, do you like it?

i do not know what postum is at all. i have never come across it nor heard about it at all. the one that we are using here as substitute for coffee and milk is soya milk. it tastes so good and is very good for our health. it smells very good, too. if coffee has a good smell, soya milk smells much better.

Soya milk is a coffee substitute? I thought it was just a milk substitute. Postum is a coffee substitute and has nothing to do with milk. It is a grain product I think.

I drank Postum for 30 years, and then sometime last year I could no longer find it on the store shelves. I asked in several stores, both in Canada and the US, and could get no answers. Personally I'm quite sure its been discontinued at the Factory. It was made by General Foods Inc. In the US. As far as I know it was never produced In Canada. So to make a short story longer, I switched to green Breakfast tea, and I have never looked back.
