At exactly midnight UK time I received a tect to say my daughter had landed in Mexico and they have yet to celebrate the New Year so she has literally been able to turn back time bless. I wish you all a wonderful 2009. What would you do if you could turn back time and how long would you turn the clock back? Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi checapricorn ( did I say Happy New Years to you?) Teen years, those were the best. My teen years, how I would love to change them. I've always like to dance, I would take up dancing lessons, be a famous dancers (not in Vegas) but like those that dance in the ballrooms or even the Rocketts. I would change a lot of things

That is a very intriguing question. If I had the opportunity to turn back on 2008 I would change a few mistakes that I have done and that I am paying their consequences. However I do believe that we grow through our failures, mistakes and successes.

Hi Ronaldinu, Yes we do learn and frow through mistakes we have made along the way and if we change one bit of the past it has a knock on effect and we wouldn't be the people we are now eh! Huggles. Ellie :D

Our thoughts differ a bit here, my dear friend, as I don't class travelling as turning back time. The fact is, when she comes back, the time difference will have balanced itself out. As for turning back the clock, I wouldn't, for a couple of reasons. I believe that through our past lessons, we've gained wisdom on our life journey, and if we went back and did it over, we'd go without the wisdom we attained the first time. Therefore, as my concept of life is that fate is already mapped out for us and that we just have to find the best route to it, going back in time wouldn't change a thing. We'd still be the same soul and mind, and probably do the same thing again because we wouldn't have the wisdom of our previous mistakes. I hope you can understand that... very difficult to word. he he. Brightest Blessings for a wonderful 2009. xx

Yes, it is a strange feeling. When I flew to Oregon, it was similar. I left England the day after I arrived! ha ha ha I'm glad you're going to have a chat with your Nan. I somehow know she is going to hear and answer you. Did she like watching the TV? Just a thought, my friend!

Hi Darkwing, Think she is trying to telling me to be more forgiving of a another family member as we are all different and deal with things in different ways but the answer seems to be coming through in dreams. The TV, no should wouldn't have known how to use the remote LOL! Huggles. Ellie :D

If I could turn the hand of time, I would go back to my high school years, and be more active with the only thing I really enjoyed, the drill team. we dance in all the football games. Everything came to a stop when I didn't take care of myself and had my daughter. Also to teach her what my mother taughts us at a early age. How to clean, cook and wash our clothes. believe or not she doesn't know how to do anything. What about you, what would you do different?

Hi Kaleegirl, If I change one thing everything else changes from that too so I wouldn't be blessed with the three children I have now so I guess I look back with no regrets as the life I have led has moulded me into who I am now. I would like to go back just to have a chat with my nan whilst she was alive though, thats not changing things just allowing me more time we her and ask her advice about some stuff I guess. Huggles. Let us know when you've built the time machine then. Happy New year. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie333 If I could really turn back time I would go back to my last year or so at school. I was umongst lots of friends and lead a care free life not that I regret having my kids I dearly love them of course I do. I would want to skip from 96 to 2006 though that would be good as that was when I was with my husband oh but I would like to have 2001, 2003 and 2005 as that is when I had my kids, is that ok, can I do that? LOL
@ellie333 (21016)

Hi Humbug, yes ofcourse it is okay to do that. I wouldn't go back myself as I have learnt so much even through the hard lessons. It was strange to think that my eldest was still in a last year though whilst I was already in 2009. Huggles. Ellie :D

Wow! I never it that way. Traveling from east to west could actually allow us to celebrate New year more than one time! That gets interesting! If I could turn back the clock, I would like to turn it way back to the era of prosperity and total peacefulness! That makes me wonder does anything like that exist! HAPPY NEW YEAR with lots of huggles.

Happy New Year. ellie! Your discussion immediately brought to mind a radio talk show I was listening to last night just after the new year came in. The host, a few hours later, announced that the new year was about to be rung in where he was broadcasting from. It felt strange to me since in my area all of the noise and celebrating were over and done with. I'm glad your daughter had a safe trip. Not that I wish for it, but if it were possible for me to turn back time for a little while I would just like a bit more time with my mother and sister because I am missing them so very much.

Hi Worldwise, Thank you, I always ask for extra protection whenever I know any of my friends or family are travelling and it is always comforting to know they have arrived safe. I am glad it is not just me that felt it strange to hear that celebrations were happening long after ours had ended. It just was weird how she was still in 2008 and I was in the following year and yet the text came through at midnight so we were together at that moment bless. I think most of us would like to be able to turn the clock to spend more time with close loved ones so I can understand that one. I wish you all the best for 2009. A very Happy New Year to you. Hello Ellie. Hope your daughter had a lovely trip and has celebrated the new year by now. Thanks for the wonderful wishes. I hope you have a Happy New Year also. You know, I don't think I want to turn back time, I guess I think it's best not to mess with something so powerful. Think I'll just stick with what I've got in my life at this point. Huggles.

Hi Rosekitty, Wishing you a fantastic 2009, likewise 2008 wasn't too good a one but we learn from them and move on eh! It just felt really strange hearing from her still in 2008 and I was already in 2009 LOL. I think she is staying in a place called cancun or something similar, she is only there for a week with her boyfriend, he takes her away every year, last year was New York but they fancied getting rid of the thermals and putting on swimwear for a change. I am sure she will have a lovely time. I have always encouraged her to travel and she went off to Australia in her gap year with friends and then on her own from their to Fiji, lucky girl. Love and huggles. Ellie :D

I love this! Personally, although I have been through very tough times like most of the population in this wordl, and I have made so many mistakes, I don;t think that I would turn the clock back. I have come to realise that everything bad thing that has happend in my life has taught me a valuable lesson. I really have learned by my mistakes. Of course I would love to have my husband back to hug him again, but if that happened then he would still be suffering in pain. I will see him again one day , so I go forward in faith. Blessings

Ellie, if I could turn back time and still knowing the things I do now. I would make sure that I met my now husband years ago and not married the jerk I did the first time. My husband would be the father of my children , although he and they feel that he is. He has been more of a father and dad to the children than their "real" dad. I'd make sure that we met a long time ago and married, we'd still be together to this day. We have been together for 18 years now. Also I'd make sure that I went to college to be a scientist which is what I trully wanted to do. Instead of going later for being a nurse after marrying the first guy I married. I'd have made sure that I had a more stable home and not moved so much all of my life. With the exception of the time my husband was in the Navy. That is what gave him his experience to do the job he does now. His career has taken off since his retirement in the Navy. We would have had a better and more loving home if I had met my husband in the early 70's and we'd still be going strong to this day. My our childrens lives would have been so much better and stable. I hope your daughters turn back in turn was a good one for her. Have a wonderful New Year and many blessings to come.

Hi Moondancer, Isn't hindsight wonderful, I take from this reply that you don't like your ex-husband! He sounds horrendous and sad for your children that he was this way too. I have thought that in the past but would my children be the same children with another partner so I guess it was all meant to be and would you and your current husband have both been mature and ready enough to meet back then. I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason and I suppose we have to go through a lot of bad experiences to really appreciate the good which you certainly seem to have found in this lovely ex-naval man you are now sharing your life with. It just felt really strange last night knowing she was still living in 2008 and I was already in the following year. She would have had a ball as she is out their with her boyfriend, they go away after Christmas every year. It was New York last year, they don't need thermals this year LOL. May you be blessed with everything you desire in 2009. A very happy New year to you. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi my friend Ellie. Yes, the people in New Zealand and Australia celebrated New Year before we did and the USA and Mexico celebrated after us due to the International Date Line. When I flew around the world I lost a day crossing that and so I had to cross it out of my diary. When I flew to New Zealand I lost a day going but I gained one coming home. I wish I had a time machine and could relive the nicest times of my life like my college days and traveling days that used to be much longer trips in the past. Before going to bed last night I looked at some fireworks on my laptop that had been filmed in Sydney. Where are your daughter's travels taking her? Happy New Year. I hope that you will have an excellent 2009.

Hi Maxine, A hapy New Year to you. My daughter has only gone to Mexico for a week before going back to uni so not travelling far. it just seemed so strange for her to be in 2008 and I was in 2009. Having travelled like you have I expect you are used to it. Not long now really before you jet off eh! 2009 will be good I can feel it and the first thing I am going to do is renew my passport and book to go somewhere myself, how else am I going to get to go diving, too cold here eh! College days must have been great and carefree especially travelling so much. I think that is why I encouraged my daughter so much to take a gap year and discover more of the world and I can imagine her taking her kids with her when she has them once older too. Huggles. Ellie :D
