Hi! As what other responders might have said and will say in the future, the notify on/off for friends is there so that you can choose to receive notifications when that friend started a discussion directly in your mail. You're right though that there is already the friends started page which I think is more accurate since the mail notifications sometimes doesnt get through. But still the friends started page shows the discussion that has received a response recently. The newer ones that doesnt have any responses yet will be pushed back into the pages. I turn my notify on for all of my friends. Just in case.^_^

I used to manage it cause I had the time. All of the members on my friends list arent all active. Most of them are inactive actually but there are those few who are very active. I used to clear out my inbox everyday but now that Im a bit busy, I at least try. I keep the old ones that I still have to comment and respond to and nowadays I am a bit behind.

See I have your turned to on. That is how I know that you started this discussion. So I can respond. And we have a chacne to add more interests as well if we so choise to. So it is a good thing not a bad thing. As if you don't respond to some of your friends they mite delete you. Or turn your to off as well. So it is a good thing to have it turned on. Your friend onlydia

Hello nomoso, how are you? The notification section allows you to receive notifications through email when a friend starts a new discussion, when you receive a response from your discussion, when you get a new friend added, when you get a "best response" on a discussion. I have turned them off except for the best response & new friend notification. MyLot just sends too much email if I allow it to send it about the discussions since it's so popular on here, right? Have a nice day. Pablo

Well, its on your friends list features wherein you get notified if they posted a new discussions. (^_^ ) I always have it on to all my friends so that I'd get email notifications about their discussions instead of going to myLot and check everyone's profile for the discussions that they have initiated.

IT is to notify u whenever your frenz start a new discussion or when there are ple responding to your discussions ^_^ It's good in a way because it's convenient so that we need not loko around for discussions to respond.. BUt at the same time, it can be bad when one is not active in mylot, because those notifications will just keep coming into your mail, and by time u decide to mylot again, u will be very stressed out.. lol =D So, it depends on u, and also how many active frenz u have here too ^_^
