Successful online home business?

I began my home business with no savings behind me and huge debts to pay off. I paid exactly ZERO to start my home business and now I've been working at home full time for 6 years. I've paid off all my personal debts, I'm steadily paying off my mortgage and I'm earning more money now than I ever did at a day job. The main thing I learned about working from home in your own online business is that you need to create several streams of income from different sources in order to build your business and your income strongly enough to survive. I write articles, I create web content for webmasters, I do some copywriting, I do a little paid forum posting and some paid blogging. I get a little google adsense income and I ell a few affiliate products for the commissions I earn. It all sounds like such small amounts of money - but together those little bits are high enough for me to live a very comfortable life and pay off my own home while I'm having a great time. Who else here has a successful online home business and how did you do it?

I"ve been 3 years trying and so far, no go. I have done all the things you mention, have several multiple streams of "income" and none of them are panning out, inspite of how hard I work and how many hours I put in. I would so much like to have an income worth mentioning, but 3 years hasn't done it fo rme and I don't have a good outlook for this year. But I keep trying...always looking for new streams and learning new things. Just can't seem to get them to work for me like they do others!

If you were able to get 20 cents every time you left a comment on MyLot, would you do it? YOu'd reach payout very quickly. Check my blog (in my profile) and you'll find a link that says "Paid Forum Posting Jobs". I've listed a lot of the better paying companies there for anyone who wants them. I've also put a list of companies that pay up front for articles (minimum $10 per article) on my blog if you're into writing articles.

Good for you! I've been trying to figure out something for years now. I've had to go back to the rat race pt to help out with the bills. I've had how many people that want me to sell Pampered Chef, Avon ect but I don't know alot of people and I'm not a social butterfly or anything. Nor can I sell items even if their quality if nicer than something you can find at wal-mart how can I sell them something they'd have to wait for when they can go down the road go to the store and get it NOW & for the same if not less elsewhere.
