It is by far better to give - although if you are truly in need you should not hesitate to receive graciously.

It's always better to give. It is when we expect things that we are disappointed. When we are giving, we are always happy. Nothing to let us down.

I prefer to give rather than recieve. I do not feel that it is important to recieve in life. If by chance you do recieve then I think that you appreciate it more. If you are always expecting to get than you do not truly know how it feels to give.

i think it is better to give, and not thinking about what we will get in return.in that way we will be happy and receive what we truly deserve to receive.it will make us selfless and satisfied with life

Without a doubt, it is definitely better to give than to receive. If you willingly give to others, you not only are making someone else's day, but you are also doing good for yourself. In the end, your good deeds to others will come back around to you. On the other hand, if you are constantly receiving or taking from others, sure you'll feel good at the moment you receive something desirable, but you won't have that ongoing good feeling of having helped another person. Also, there is no chance of a good deed coming back around to you--since you are always on the receiving end.
