I believe that PTSD is a natural reaction for people who see injust killings on a daily basis. The problem is that there are injust killings in the first place. The problem is that these soldiers have witnessed torture, been ordered to kill entire families, see their colleages blown up by bombs and blasted with guns, and kill strangers with their own hands. Of course these soldiers should be ca... |

Seeing as most credible universities will be over 30 grand a year without any financial assistance, I'd say that it is practically impossible to pay for college independently unless you have an amazing job. Besides, I wouldn't suggest working full time in college. I work about 25 hours a week and take four classes and I'm just about at my limit. When you're in school, you always have readings t... |

1.) File a FAFSA to see how much aid you qualify for. The school that I go to (a private liberal arts university) offers scholarships to recent high school grads based on GPA and need-based scholarships based on FAFSA scores. Anything that isn't covered under my scholarships is payed for through loans, also handled through my schools financial aid department. I'm not sure if all schools operate... |

But why you, Bird? How many people have claimed to have spiritual revalations? What makes you more valid than Buddha or Muhammad or the Kool-aid guy? Jesus was God Himself, who is undoubtedly my ultimate authority. I'm not ready for what you have to say because it goes against God's teachings. It is only a fabricated "perfect" religion in your own mind. And you are only human like the rest of us. |

But where is the basis for your claims? Have you studied the Latin, Greek, and Hebrew in order to decide that these verses are biased? And what difference does it really make if the one verse you quoted says "I can't read" or "I can't write"?
As for the days that Christian celebrations and practices fall on, it is only by the rules of men that I would find any spiritual signifigance in paga... |

I would say it falls on both sides, which is why I talked about killing and seeing others being killed... but I wouldn't say that most military operations are actually necessary. Violence breeds more violence. And I realize what PTSD is, but in the case of our soldiers the stress usually comes from killing and seeing others killed and tortured. If they went in as peacemakers rather than soldier... |

On a different note (and a little more on topic), I heard about service dogs who are being implemented in order to aid veterans with PTSD (along with physical disabilities) get through their everydays lives. Some of these dogs are being trained by prison inmates!

There are some cases where I do believe defense is the last viable option, but I'm still on the bar with the 3D security initiative. The fact that you bring Vietnam up as a necessary war is kind of funny because most American's don't see it that way... I wasn't around at the time, but I'm pretty sure that we didn't go to Vietnam to protect anyone except ourselves because we were so scared of co... |

Oh, and I forgot to add that in cases where defense is necessary, the utmost caution should be taken to avoid civilian casualities and to detain targets and give them fair trials rather than kill (just as domestic criminals are treated). No preemptive strikes should be taken. |

Forgot to mention for #2: after my first semester, I was able to choose the classes that I wanted to take and the times and days I wanted to take them. Once you decide on a major, it's a good idea to talk to your advisor about planning out the classes you'll take each semester until graduation, because not all courses are offered every semester. |
