How many words can you type in a minute ? / myLot

We sit hours in front of the computer in a day.Most of the time we are busy sending mails or doing my lot.Have you ever wondered how many words can you type in a single minute ?How fast we are ?does really typing fast helps ?I know many of us would like to compare .........

yes ,it helps.i used to type 20 words previously.but after so much rampant use of my computer it has increased 3 fold.so i think they help a great deal.don't u think so.have a good day.

yes typing fast really helps.. my typing speed is around 30 words/min..

I was tested for typing speed in August, and I typed 85 wpm with no mistakes! The typing speed you needed for the class was 25 wpm. I was so surprised to find out that I could type that many words per minute!!!

depends what im typing... if its chatting or something trivial then about 50... if its work? about 0.1 lol

I've played around with a typing test before and my record was 120 words per minute which is quite a significant amount, surprisingly. LOL. Maybe it's because I used to chat a lot in IRC and Yahoo Messenger using dial up. At that time, I was always trying to type as much as possible within very short amount of time in order to save cost.

well i know at what speed iam typing at, if iam suppose to write whatever is comming to my mind then it is about 70 - 80 words per minute if iam reading then about 40-50 and if some ones dictation 70-80 what about u havent u ever measured it, and this took me about 1.5 minutes to type !!
