Nope sorry I do not think that people are poor because they do not take the opportunities. I can honestly say this because I am poor and I just have not had the opportunities. My husband has a mental problem that makes him legally unable to work. Before we found out that he had this problem we had 7 kids. So the government would not help us so that I could work or anything. They would rather have us sit on assistance. We just have not had the opportunities open for us to take. I sure wish that there were some for us because this really sucks.

Well you cannot say why people become poor, some because of circustanses happened to them, others because they are too lazy to work and others are poor becauce of the situation in thier country. Well it is not fun to be poor they suffer a lot, hope they will find help and happiness one day.

That's too wide a question: "poor people" covers sooooo many circumstances! Some people who are poor have missed opportunities. Others have made themselves poor by not planning. Others have just had horribly bad luck (like being the victim of identity theft or burglary or becoming very ill very suddenly or something).

That may be one of the reasons but not always the only reason. It could be that they invested in stocks or something and they went bankrupt. Or similarly, their business that they started went bankrupt. Or, they were never rich in the first place and don't have a high paying job. There are many reasons why people are poor and that is just one of them.
