Made a decision

A while back i had posted about looking at a new truck. I decided that was much to expensive to get. BUT i've also decided i do need something to drive in the winter a bit larger/better in snow than my neon. What i decided is...I'm either going to buy my parents blazer off of them and fix it then license it for the winter months (works out WAY cheaper than the license for a new vehicle and payments) and I'm going to keep my car for the rest of the year. If my parents wont sell the blazer to me I'll start looking for a used/older vehicle of the same type or similar. Have you a spare vehicle for winter driving? What would you do?

Hey saundyl! Sounds like the perfect solution to your very terrible problem! And I must say that I am very glad to hear it! I have been terribly worried about you trying to start and drive that little Neon around again this winter knowing how much trouble you have been having with it lately! So I think you have found the perfect answer to your problems! That is a great car for the snow and bad weather! I am so glad that you have found a way to be able to afford a car for the winter and then maybe be able to buy if from your parents! That is really great of them to let you do this! Now I know that you will be safer and I am very happy to hear this!

It starts fine since my dad changed my battery for me. But the snow gives it stuck issues. Love my baby car in the summer and i dont want to get rid of it. I just have to wait now for 2 weeks until my dad returns from up north working (hes a oil rig guy) to be able to discuss it with him. If he says no not the blazer it has too many issues I'll look for another vehicle like it without the issues. If i have to wait til spring for the RCMP auctions I can because winter will be over soon.

We do have a second vehicle for the winter. We have two suburban 4x4's. One is a 1990 and the other is a 1992. I by far prefer the 1990 because it is a stronger truck to have. We live in an area that gets a whole lot of snow. Alot of times people will get stuck just going up our alley so it is best to have a 4x4 here. We also have alot of kids so it suits us best.
