Polite people don't seem to be around me. I even live in the country. I do live on a highway and cars speed down as if it were a raceway. It is only 2 lanes and there is a speeding limit yet seems no one cares. I always follow speeding laws for safety reasons. Does any my lotters out there have this problem? Sounds small but it is dangerous. I transport children so my concerns are real.

I live out in the country also, and we have a two lane road that goes by the house too, its a county road, and I'm not sure if there is a speed limit on it but I think there should be because people speed down it all the time. I used to take a walk everyday down that road, and I used to take one of my dogs with me, but I quit because people drove too fast down that road, and they would come around the corner and almost run me off the road, some people would not even move over, and I had to keep my dog beside me, so it wouldn't get run over. It is dangerous when people do that, it is a real concern.

I often call the police dept so they can go up and down the hwy and watch out for speeders. It just needs to be safe. My boy, 7 yrs old can't even go to the mail box or walk down the driveway. It is sad for him. He does understand though.

Hi jordan! I live in a neighborhood where there are alot of young children and the cars go speeding down my street all the time all hours of the day and night! It is really very dangerous! My street is a pass though street to get to the street that leads to the main street to go to the parkways. So people are always in such a rush. There is a four way stop at the corner of my block and it is a recipe for disaster! I am a pedistrian and it is almost impossible to cross this street without risking your life! There have been so many accidents and yet they won't put up a stoplight! They are waiting for someone to be killed!

Hi thanks for responding. I seldom go to the city.I try to find everything I need on the way around here. When I do go to the city I am very careful. Everyone seems to be in a hurry. I fear for the children the most. I have been hit with my care so many tines. It doesn"t take much to total a car these days.

You should try living in Malaysia and may reach the conclusion that the situation at your place is not that bad. It is a running joke that the majority of Malysians 'grow horns' when they are behind the steering wheel or holding the handles of a motorbike. Drivers and riders from a neighbouring country are even worse. Being restricted in their own country, they regard the roads in Malaysia as a freeway. To add insult to injury they claim they are not bound by local laws since they are non-Malaysians. Have you had vehicles overtaking on double lines? Have you seen motorcycles zig zagging in the traffic flow? Have you met trailers and coaches (we call them express buses) being driven at 80 miles per hour? Most of them become angels when they know a traffic operation is in progress. I think if you live long enough in my country you can have a heart attack just by watching the antics of these people. all the best, rosdimy

I know exactly what you mean and I don't drive. When my husband takes me out we shiver at the chances people take,we were in a car park at sainsburys bcause only one way in and one way out people were actually leaning on their car horns, noone could go anywhere and it was nobodys fault, just bad traffic not really thought out as there is an industrial site and out of town shoppine centre all using the same road, then there are the cars just cannot wait their turn and shoot across traffic lanes, without signaling,my husband drives an HGV and the amount of drivers that cut him up is unbeleavable and then moan at him as he nearly wipes them out,it is murder trying to cross at a zebra crossing cars hardly ever stop, then there are the idiots that over take on the bends. My husband drives for a living and resits his licence every five years for his HGV,so he knows what he is talking about.I find sometimes it is so dangerous on the roads and it is a wonder more people are not killed. It is only because so many of you are good drivers and can read the road that keeps us safe.
