Politics is a dirty work in many people's dictionaries. In spite of this, we see young people attracted in droves to this noble profession. Do people join politics because they have a thick skin or people become thick-skinned after they join politics?

It is said that people who go into poltics either have personal interests in mind or they do not understand the real responsibilities of a leader. From personal experience they may not necessarily have thick skins though many of them do. For example the motivation to help oppressd people is strong enough to make them do many things. Initially they were not thick skinned but eventually they gain one. all the best, rosdimy
