I keep 2 rabbits. Both are near 2 years old. This morning, one of them suddenly didn't eat anythings and keep hiding at the corner of the cage. The weather is cold for these few days and the temperature is about 7-17 degree celsius. Is my little rabbit got sick? Anyone can give me the comments? Thanks a lot!

Yes! You need to get that rabbit eating as soon as possible and see a vet immediately. Rabbits are meant to be constantly eating and pooping. Once they stop eating, something is definitely wrong. And hiding in the corner is another bad sign. Is the rabbit pooping? See www.guinealynx.info for information on emergency handfeeding. The site is meant for guinea pigs but rabbits are handfed in the same manner. 2 years old is VERY young for a rabbit so hopefully it will pull through. But it needs medical attention to figure out why it stopped eating as soon as possible.

Rabbits definitely love warm towels. If I just take the towels out of the dryer and throw them in a pile, then I go do something else, I end up with a rabbit digging through the pile of nice warm and (formerly) clean towels. But warm towels won't fix up a sick rabbit.

Hello rrobinv! I am not really that good at rabbits but I think based on what you said, one rabbit doesn't want to eat plus it keeps hiding at the corner. Rabbits are like humans too. If we don't feel well, we don't want to eat and that we don't want to walk around, we just want to stay at the corner. But this discussion happened four days ago, is he ok now?

Thanks for all of your help! My rabbit is fine now after I back to home from office. He is back to normal and keep jumping anywhere in the house. I think it is really too cold for him that morning. So he didn't want to move which same as me lie-in the bed. HaPpY MyLoTtInG!
