I have two grown daughters and I am blessed that they are also my friends. We like all people have gone through are moments but have managed to become not only family but friends. We enjoy doing things together and can talk to each other about everything. They can give me advice on the new generation and I give advice on the older ways of doing things. I think they are passing this on to their girls. My 10 year old granddaughter has her mother and myself listed as her bestfriends on her kids page. This is one of the highest compliments I have ever received.

It must be hard to live far from home. My one daughter lives an hour away but we talk everyday. Everyone else is no more than 10 minutes away. I'm glad you get to talk on the phone alot.

hi conbill, i couldn't help but smile after reading your post. My 2 young daughters are my friends too. They are 15 and 11. We also give advices on each other about our generation. We respect each other's opinion which i think is very important. We're very close and open to each other. I hope we can keep this very good relationship with each other for the years to come cause I am so enjoying this. I also hope that they are going to learn from what we have and pass this on to their children in the future :)

My daughter (30 yrs) is my best friend and my step-daughter is quickly becoming a good friend too. My daughter and I try to go out to eat every week or two just to have time together. My husband hates Mexican food and I love it so it's usually to a Mexican restaurant and then maybe shopping. We do a lot of the same crafts and both read voraciously. My daughter is the one who got me onto Mylot. She's always been a "daddy's girl" but she's mom's best friend and I like that better!
