Well, yesterday was grocery day and as most of you all know I am on a weight lost goal of wanting to lose more then 130 pounds or more if I can make it possible. Well I decided that I am going to do the Calorie Diet because I know if I was try to do the fat diet I will never accomplish losing weight then. So while we were buying food we spent time looking over the calories and boy it made me sadand I just wanted to cry too. Then my hubby saw that there were doughnuts on sale and I looked at him said yeah those probably have tons of calories. But we picked up some anyways. Well with me being a jelly filled and cream filled fan of doughnuts. But anyways I started thinking well I will not be able to eat them because it will just ruin my diet. So I checked and found a internet site for food calorie counting. To my surprise I can have both of my favorite doughnuts. YAY, For the jelly filled it is only 180 calories for one doughnut and cream filled is only 220 calories. Which to me is not bad. So I figured I will eat only one doughnut in the morning for breakfast with a 8 oz container of yogurt. So that is what I had for breakfast and I am satisfied. Usually I have like 2 doughnuts and a big bowl of cereal for breakfast. But I am proud of myself... because I was thinking that I would give in like I did in the past year but I have not give in yet. Have you ever went through this type of crisis? Happy Mylotting

Without a doubt, i would say the fastest way to lose weight is Phentermine. I took it for just one month and lost 22lbs, wich was more than i needed. Once i lost it, the pill causes your appetite and stomach to shrink. It's up to you if you slowly overeat again and build back up your appetite, but even then you really have to over eat to get back that big appetite. I had no side affect and I'm very sensitive to caffine and other stimulants. I only needed to lose 15lbs. My friend on the other hand wanted to lose 80lbs and she did in 3 months. If you need to shed alot of weight you have to do some sort of exercise, or youll get the flabby skin. There's no way around that. go ahead and talk with you doctor to see if you can give it a try. I got mine in mexico. Good luck!

Hello, I never heard of Phentermine. Where do you get it? I will say that I do have a lot to lose but I want to lose it the hard way, then if it don't work that way for me I will be sure to mention Phentermine to my doctor but till then it is out of the question for now. But thank you for the info and I will keep it mind.

As many others have already said, you have done the right thing. I totally dislike the word diet. Diets do not work, eating healthy does. You will probably be much more successful if you do not deprive yourself of anything you want. The more that we cut foods out of our diet the more we crave them. My biggest suggestion for you would be to not focus on the number. Eat and exercise to be healthy not to lose weight. That jelly doughnut is perfectly OK to eat once in awhile, just not a dozen a day. Try eating smaller meals more often, by giving your body food a little at a time, you will increase your metabolism and actually in long run burn calories faster. Just make sure if you're going to indulge in those not so healthy foods, to balance that with your fruits and veggies or take a multi vitamin to make sure that you get all the nutrients your body needs. Remember, diets do not work, healthy eating does. Try not to focus on the scale or the calorie content or the fat content, and just eat to be healthy. Be sure to add in lots of physical activity so you can burn calories while having fun. Perhaps you can try a new hobby? Tennis? Volleyball or even ice skating depending on where you're from, will keep you active, help you to exercise and burn those calories from that jelly doughnut, while having fun with friends and family. Good luck to you and happy Mylotting and remember don't focus on the numbers! That's just my 2ยข worth. Happy posting!

This sounds like perfect advice. Well that I know of there is no place around here for ice skating, I'm not big on volley ball or tennis. But there is a few things that I am big on and that is Dancing, hiking, and playing football with the guys. Plus I know that dancing is great for physical exercise. What is disappointing though is that we don't get enough nice weather to play football. With the portion control I did that the other day. Here I was thinking I'm not going to be able to do it but I did and felt great. So I now know that I was just over stuffing myself and was not allowing my brain to tell me that I was full because I am the type of person that likes food. But I figured that now I can control my portions better then I will be on the road to getting healthy. I'll tell ya what it is so nice to be able to wake up and have tons of energy and knowing that I am eating right will show my little ones the right way to eat. I was so worried that I would not be around for when they get older because of my overweight and that they would follow my footsteps and that is when I told myself you know what this has to stop, and that is when I started watching how much I eat and how much junk food I eat all the time. I'm glad that I have decided to do this because since the last 2 weeks I have noticed that my pants are not so tight any more and I am seeing a difference, and man it feels good. Well thanks for the great advice you gave me. Happy Mylotting

I believe that if you deprive yourself from certain treats then you will eventually splurge and blow the whole diet. It is great that you had your donut and didn't have to have more than one. Just make sure to count the calories and you will be fine. I am a chocolate freak and even when I am on my diet, I treat myself every night to a little chocolate. It might be a hershey kiss or a hot chocolate, but just enough to satisfy my craving.

Yes, it is good to limit what we all eat when we are a diet. I'm glad that I was able to find that fine line that I needed to be at, and knowing that I am able to control my eating better is what makes me feel more healthy and it makes me happy knowing that I can really do it without over eating. One of the reasons so many people fail at losing weight is because they deprive themselves of everything they love. It doesn't take long of doing that to get discouraged and quit the diet and go on a binge. A more effective way to lose weight is to change habits rather than diet. Anything in moderation is ok. One doughnut won't ruin your whole day- 2 might. Having one every now and then is not going to prevent you from losing weight. You may have found the key to success. Allow yourself to have the foods you love in moderation. I wouldn't have a doughnut every day, but once or twice a week would probably be fine. Chocolate is my downfall, so I bought a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and have a few with some peanuts for a snack once in a while. It's a great snack because it's just enough chocolate to keep me from binging on a king size snickers, but it's a small enough amount that the calories don't kill me.

Hello, Yeah I figured it out that if I deprived myself like that I will fail so I decided to take yours and everyone else tips and ideas. I use to eat Snickers a lot but then I quite eating them because they were killing my teeth to much. So I stick with m&ms and Hershey Kisses. But lately when I have those I will only eat about half a cup of M&MS here and there and only about 5 Hershey Kisses here and there. I'm so determined to make this work that is why all the help that I get from you and others would be great. I just love that fact that I got people that will help on mylot. Happy Mylotting

I totally changed my eating habits a year ago and started exercising on a regular basis and lost over 50 lbs last year. All you need to do is make sure you burn more calories a day than you consume and you will lose weight. I never deprived myself anything. I still eat chocolate cake, ben and jerrys ice cream, deep dish pizza....but on the days that I do eat those things I make sure to get in an extra workout. The only major major change I made is that I stopped drinking soda. No one needs over 200 calories from a beverage! Good luck!

Congrats on such a great amount lost. I too have cut pop down a lot not only that but I drink diet now. But I also make sure I get my water in too. I never knew that you could eat what you like and still make it work with losing weight. Well I am going to do the same what you just exercise more on the days that I eat what I really like. Well thanks for the luck as I am going to need it. Happy Mylotting
