Have you ever had a garage sale or yard sale? Do you go to sales?

Few weeks ago we decided to clean out the house a bit as we are going to need to make space for the baby (due in less then 14 weeks). It is amaizing how many things we dont use we have in the house. We managed to have a great garage sale (as we call them in Australia) we placed signs everywhere and we had lots of people that came over. The total money was few $ short of $500. When we told our friends they all wanted to do it as well so we decided to have 1 big one. So this sunday 5 families are geting together and we will have 1 huge garage sale. My parents live on a main road with lots of trafic and people walking pass it is a great place for sale so we are doing it there.
Do you have this sales? what do you sell? If not do you go to garage/yard sales? what do you buy and how much do you expect to pay for things you get?

No I haven't tried having a garage or yard sale yet. But I was able to experienced twice when me and my family were in Texas. It was a good experienced for I was able to buy things that are useful and a good one at a very low and reasonable price. I was able to buy a display for the living room. In fact I brought it home in the Philippines when we came back. I bought it for only $1, at first I was hesitant to ask for I thought it's expensive like $20 but I was wrong.
Find it interesting and fun for you'll never know what to find there. It might be trash to them but treasure to me.

You are very right about someones trash been someones treasure. I was suprised at the things we sold. I had some cd's that I got 10 years ago and I never listen to them any more. For some I got more then I originaly paid for because you cant find them anymore and people offered a price that I could not say no.

Yes I have had a ton of yard sales. The best one I ever had was when I lived in texas and I made well over a thousand dollars. The worse I ever had I made about 12.00 !! I love having and going to yard sales. I have not had one in a couple of years though because I am by myself a lot with a baby. I think he will be able to let me have one this summer though.
