I deal with quite a few 'difficult' people at work. Most of them do not intend to be difficult but they are sick, vulnerable and scared. I have to realise that their comments and actions are not intended as a personal attack on me, take a deep breath and try to find humour in the situation even when it might not seem entirely appropriate. Sometimes I just need to go away and rant to someone who isnt involved. Having a good relationship with colleagues is a major plus!! I am sure I have behaved in a 'difficult' manner plenty of times and other people have had to put up with me
