If you are a girl, will you eat less in front of your boyfriend?

When my husband and I both were courting, we both just ate like we always ate which is quite alot - our portion. We didn't eat less in front of each other. In fact we found a new way of having a variety of food. Like each of us would take 3 different dishes to go with our rice. We would then divide half of the dishes of what we take and put it on each other's plate. So total each of us have 6 different type of dishes to go with our rice.

Hmm... really? I never really paid attention. And my wife never did such a thing with me back when we were dating. Now, why would a girl want to eat less in front of the boyfriend? What is the reasoning behind such an action? So what if she eats normally and have an apetite that is similar to, if not, bigger than, her boyfriend?

I am a man. when I was a boy I din't like my girl eat less in front of me. I like girls who eat more than I do.

Hi youless! Well, I do remember when my husband was still then my boyfriend, I can't really eat infront of him or with him. I get so conscious when he was staring at me with those gooey eyes. haha..But after a few months of dating and being in a relationship, his gooey eyes does not bother me anymore..haha..I can eat as much as I want. Normally, I eat quite small portions, but it happens that my boyfriend too doesn't eat much! So in my case, I do not agree with you, as sometimes I tend to eat more than him. Especially when eating out, I always order desserts after a meal, whereas he prefers to pass.

I ate less when I was dating with my boyfriend at first because I was a little shy at that time. Now we are familar with each other, I will eat whatever I like. I quite agree with your opinion that people will eat more when they have a good mood. I don;t know wheter women who eat less in front of their men are mre charming or not. Some men prefer a full bodied woman while others are into skinny women. I put health first a priority in life. Until you are healthy, shapes and sizes comes second in life.

I am not like other girls. Usually there are just shy then later on they ended up hungry. I eat the normal way as I do if I am with my boyfriend. I love to eat, I love food and there are times I eat a lot if I like the food! My bf likes the way I eat as he said that he can see that I am really enjoying the food.

Nope and I never did. When I was on dates I would always order what I wanted. They always seemed to like the fact that I was comfortable being myself cause some girls act silly and order just a salad when they could eat more. Why be starved? Also eventually you hope the relationship will develop into more. Do you want to go hungry all your life to appear charming or dainty. If all you want in a lite meal then that is fine, but I think you should eat what you want to not based on what he would think. Usually guys are just thinking about "you know" anyways and don't care what you eat. LOL

I did. Shoot for a long time I refused to eat infront of him or even during events I'd eat like a bird. Some of this is that lady-like standards and you have to put on "airs". But I also started this in HS as if you had ever seen the movie Heathers, there was a character called "dump truck" we had a girl who was like that as far as eating and was severly made fun of. Being a lil heavier myself I've always worried that I'd be stared at and made fun of like "L" was in school, so I ate popcorn if I ate at all.

Nope I have never followed this rule. I eat whatever I feel comfortable eating at the time. Never have I gaged my eating for the sake of, I guess it would be vanity. But I am a like me for who I am kind of gal...Mamablaze!!

im a girl. and i would like to enjoy the food with my boyfriend and just enjoy each other's company. i think its very hypocrite to be like that. show your real self is very important.

no way., ill just be myself... means i eat many food if i really wanted to.. no need to be charming for someone... just be urself always

There are very little that I like to eat so when I eat, I eat. I wouldn't eat less in front of a guy.

nope... i am a big eater - and not ashamed of it... on my first date (with my now husband) - i ate everything on my plate - without shame or guilt.. why should i? i think if you leave food.. you're wasting food.. i dont like to waste.. especially if someone else is paying for it - wouldnt that be rude ??. i didnt order anything 'big' - it was something that i could finish, so i did. my husband was surprised, but he was kind of glad.. because he doesnt like to waste, either.. and seeing me finish all my food.. he thought it was 'funny', but he appreciated it. besides, to me it just not good to waste food - dont matter who is paying for it... and if the guy is the one paying, he might think you didnt like the food he bought you.. to me.. it is also not the amount of food that you eat, but how your 'table-manners' are...

I think it's not charming at all because she may not be enjoying the food especially if it's delicious. I've had girlfriends before which i made comfortable enough so they can eat as much as they can without me judging how they eat. I ha dthis girlfriend who finishes her chicken barbecue ahead of me, i joke about it in but then we start to laugh instead of her being embarrassed. Eating too much in front of me is really not an issue. I even think it's cute hehehe... Well, if i'm a girl, then maybe i've already established a bond with my boyfriend just enough for me to eat as much as i want.

No, I won't pretend to eat less when I am infront of my special man, what's the use of pretending when your stomach want to be filled with more foods? It is so ridiculous to pretend that you are a less eater in front of your boyfriend when you are voracious outside. I dont have to pretend, I will just be myself and show the real me, even in food.

i haven't tried to eat less in front of my boyfriend.as he often cooks for me,so i try to eat more to show that his cooking is very good. i like eating,so i just show myself,the true myself to him.
