According to ancient wisdom, they say it's better to face East in the direction of the rising sun. This apparently does wonders for your body and mind. How about you? Which way do you face? cd

It's hard enough just to face going to sleep! The way the world is today, I'm afraid I'll wake up one day, and find it won't be there anymore.

Chances are I'd be better off in the cat world. Heck, T.C. sleeps facing me, hogs the covers, and steels my half of my pillow, anyway. (He snores loud too.)

I face East but that's more because of the side of the bed I sleep on and it's closer to the bathroom. Sometimes, I sleep on my back so I guess I face up. I have some trouble sleeping because I have sleep apnea.

I flop around all over the place. I go from side to side and every once in a while even end up on my back! (I don't like sleeping on my back, so I am always surprised to wake up this way). So does this mean I have half the beneifts?

I usually face east but sometimes west too. Yeah, I also heard that it's good to face east during sleeping because it's not good to contradict with the current of the sea--that if we face west.

I mostly sleep on my left side for most of the night and the direction is North-East. Due to certain constraints i am forced to sleep this way ,concerning health and also the way the house has been built. AS i am a patient of muscular dystrophy since the last 39 years i cannot turn from one side to another and need help. Hence i am more comfortable sleeping this way.

Now that I think about it, I face East. Actually, it's almost directly due East... What drives the way I face when I sleep though, is where the door is in the room. I usually have to sleep facing the door. It doesn't usually matter what side of the bed that's on, as long as I'm facing the door. I don't know why, but that's just the way I sleep better.

Hi Cd, I have heard that when you woke up, prefer to turn to right then get up. I also heard that keep the head in the South or East and never to North and West while sleeping. However I never heard about the preference for facing while sleeping. When in the childhood grandparents were keeping saying about all these things. But to be very honest now I am not bothered about such things after starting resides in the capital city. If I was in our native village I would have care about all these things. Now the life is so hectic and no time for remember all such things.

Since my bed is East and West, I have to face either North or South. I used to start out sleeping on my right side but now it makes my back hurt sometiems so I sleep on my left side most of the time - which would be facing South.

My bed is facing the East, but I usually sleep on one side or the other, so I am facing North or South. Does it count if my feet and bed are facing towards the East?

My 4 month daughter I just recently discoverd cannot sleep north to south everytime I put her in her crib in the middle of the night I would wake up with her screaming and she would be turned with her feet to the east and her head to the west I noticed I put her in her playpin the same way she slept throught out the whole night but when I put her the other way she would wake up every hour on the hour. I noticed with me when we put our mattress in our living room one night we were sleeping feet to the east head to the west, and I slept so much better when I sleep in my room bed faced north south I cannot fall alseep....does the direction realy make that much of a difference? My 6 yr old does the same thing in the morning when I wake him to go to school he is facing head to the east and feet to the west or viceversa so I am rearranging his room to day so the bed is facing east to west instead of north to south

Because I sleep on my side I face either North or South but mainly south. Guess that's why I can't sleep. Too bad I can't change my room around so I can sleep to the East. Thank You.
