Ok so this happens to me all the time, Im sitting in the car listening to the radio, and a song comes on and instantly you think of this one time when you with with your friends, or your sister, or a very specific event or person. I love music and I listen to many different kinds, but it's only certain songs that do it, Like sqeeze toy when I was in high school i remember visiting at a freinds house and her we were all in her room and her bf was performing the song it was so funny now whenever I hear that song I instantly think of that moment. My mom always has 45 and record nights and we all get together and my sister always would do the dance for the song duke of earl so now if ever i hear that song it instantly brings me to my sister, and then there are the sadder memoried songs of course, like how hearing i'll be missing you reminds me of my nephews funeral and sometimes instantly makes me cry. Do any of you have this happen to you, where a song reminds you of a specific event, or person, and what does it remind you of as well as what song.

Oh I'm definitely like this! I love music too and I tend to relate various lyrics to the events in my life. I find a lot of meaning in other people's words. But just from the "fun" perspective, I remember in high school, I was so excited to get the new album by The GoGos. I took it to a party and we played it straight through, both sides, and one of my best guy friends and I danced to every song. We had such a great time LOL At our 25th high school reunion, a couple of summers ago, I was on the dance floor with that same friend. A GoGos song came on and I danced over to him and said, "You know... I can't hear this song without remembering how we danced all night in your basement to this album!" He started to laugh and said "Oh my god I'm the same way... I think of YOU every time I hear this too!" It was nice, after all those years :)

That is so cool, i love music because i feel it sometimes helps you to remember certain events in your life, that may eventually leave your memory because it has been so long since you have had anything to remind you of the event, and it;s awsome to have those memories, well I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that does this!
