Hi sis! Finally, I found you and congrats for your first post. Am not really fond of 2nd hand clothes or stuffs(ukay-ukay)and you know that, lol. The smell is one that I hated most and secondly trying to look for things that are nice. If I go that place, it seems that I don't know what I want. But in my place, we don't have much of that. Your very lucky in your city! I like them if someone will give me suggestions like what you did the last time. Thanks for picking the boots for me!

Try to check in Cebu or in CDO when you have time. If we will have the chance to visit Phils. soon, I would definitely buy different kinds of boots in the Ukay-ukay store.

i buy both new and 2nd hand stuff. but for 2nd hand clothes i usually buy jackets. i have a few tops too and manage to snag original cusco barcelona, ballenciaga, roberto cavallis. i like their vintage effect yet it's something fashionable. i do choose a piece that i know is unique. and i always get compliments when wearing these pieces and when i tell them where i got it, their faces fell, they always say "i want one!" but i don't know how to look at designer bags, so i never buy from second hand stores.

I also tried shopping from ukay-ukay stores before and it was really enjoying coz you will get whole bunch of stuffs for a cheap price.but then it disappoints me at times, like when you found something that you really want then it doesn't fit you. i feel bad because there are no sizes to choose from.i mean the thing you see there is just one of its kind, so if there's any damage you have to decide right then and there its a take it or leave it situation. So I decided just to shop at malls instead so I wont feel bad.

I have always been a big fan of second hand stores. My sister got me hooked when she was in college. Why pay $45.00 or more for jeans when you can get them for $8.00 or less I bought a pair of new merrels just this week for $9.00 they are $150.00 shoes. I now work in a American Rescue Workers thrift store and now that I have seen the other side I really appreciate what is done to maintain a non profit thrift store. Yes you have to frequent the shop to find what you want in your color or size. But most stores love volunteers and that is a great way to see the items as soon as they reach the racks. My husband never used to wear used clothing but hey i wash it all when I take it home and some of his new fav's are from the thrift store. Names I see every day are Hollister , old navy , nike , carhart , liz , vera bradley , dolce , ann taylor lofts , lacross , puma and so many more so next time you need anything from dishes to linens to clothing and shoes check your local thrift store first as we all know that is the best way to recycle And for all you shoppers out there donate what you no longer wear or want to the nonprofit thrift stores in your area SHOP ON

I usually buy brand new clothes (on sale, usually), but I go to Goodwill every so often to look for more unusual clothing items, or items I can alter! Goodwill seems to be getting more and more expensive, though! I do still enjoy second hand shopping, either way!

I prefer to buy unused cloths as those used clothing are questionable, you never know where they come from. I really don't know whether there is such place like that in my country. But I have attended charity bazaar where they sell used books and cloths and other used items. I bought lots of used books especially cookery books.
